I&#8217;m worried about rats scaling the walls.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The frequent dumping of rubbish and fly-tipping has led to a growing acceptance of the mess, according to Susan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I think people are more comfortable dumping now, they don&#8217;t care about the people who live here,&#8221; she said. &#8220;What&#8217;s most alarming is that Home Group doesn&#8217;t care.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She claimed complaints to the housing association have fallen on deaf ears, and that reports to Hillingdon Council have also largely gone unanswered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Elaine said she had witnessed drug use in the bin store, as well as people urinating and defecating outside the block.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Sometimes when I sit at the bus stop I cringe and think, &#8216;God\u2026 I live there&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We are like prisoners in our own homes because we don&#8217;t feel safe out here.
