The staff for the fourth<\/a> That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime<\/a> (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken<\/a>) anime season revealed on Friday a new promotional video, visual, and theme song artists for the second part:<\/p>\n

Daoko<\/a> performs the new opening theme song “TACTIC,” and Azusa Tadokoro<\/a> performs the new ending theme song “Hymnal.”<\/p>\n

The staff also announced that the Blu-ray Disc for the second anime film Gekij\u014d-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: S\u014dkai no Namida-hen (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea<\/a>) will ship in Japan on September 25.<\/p>\n

The new season debuted on April 3 on NTV<\/a>‘s now\u00a0one-hour<\/a> “Friday Anime Night” programming block, at 11:00 p.m. JST. The new season started airing on BS11<\/a> on April 4 at 10:00 p.m. JST and on other streaming services at 11:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll<\/a> streams<\/a> the anime as it airs.<\/p>\n

The anime’s fourth season will air for a total run of five cours<\/a> (quarters of a year), with the first two cours airing continuously.<\/p>\n

8-Bit<\/a> is returning once again to animate the fourth season, and Miho Okasaki<\/a> returns to voice protagonist Rimuru Tempest. Eir Aoi<\/a> performs the first opening theme song “Esoragoto” (Pipe Dream), and CiON<\/a> performs the first ending theme song “Katsub\u014d” (Craving).<\/p>\n

Fuse serialized<\/a> the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime story on the “Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d” (Let’s Become Novelists) website from 2013 to 2016, and the series has since garnered over 400 million page views. Micro Magazine<\/a> began publishing the series in print with illustration by Mitz Va in 2014. The novel series ended<\/a> with its 23rd and final volume on November 29. A spinoff side story volume titled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Toaru Ky\u016bka no Sugoshi-kata<\/a> (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: How to Spend a Certain Vacation) shipped alongside the final volume. The novels will get<\/a> a side-story series, with the first part slated for release in 2026.<\/p>\n

Yen Press<\/a> releases<\/a>\u00a0the novel series in English.<\/p>\n

The first television anime of Taiki Kawakami<\/a>‘s manga, itself an adaptation of the light novel series, premiered<\/a> in October 2018. Crunchyroll streamed<\/a> the anime, and FUNimation Entertainment<\/a> streamed<\/a> an English dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second television anime season premiered its first cours (quarter of a year) in January 2021. The television anime<\/a>\u00a0of Shiba’s spinoff manga\u00a0The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime<\/a>\u00a0(Tensura Nikki Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken<\/a>) then premiered on\u00a0Tokyo MX<\/a>\u00a0in April 2021. After\u00a0The Slime Diaries\u00a0ended, the second\u00a0cours\u00a0of the second season began in July 2021 \u2014 for nine straight months of television anime from the franchise<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

The three-episode\u00a0That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream<\/a>\u00a0anime\u00a0debuted<\/a> in Japan in November 2023 with all three episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming<\/a>\u00a0the anime with subtitles and an English\u00a0dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The anime’s\u00a0third<\/a>\u00a0season\u00a0premiered<\/a>\u00a0in April 2024. The show aired for two continuous\u00a0cours\u00a0for a half-year run.<\/p>\n

The second anime film Gekij\u014d-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: S\u014dkai no Namida-hen (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea) opened<\/a> in Japan on February 27. Crunchyroll screened<\/a> the film in theaters in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland on May 1. The film screened in both Japanese with English subtitles and with an English dub.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond film opened<\/a>\u00a0in Japan in November 2022. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures<\/a> rescreened the film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond<\/a> with an exclusive 10-minute sneak peek at the new movie for one day only on April 20.<\/p>\n
