Jon Bon Jovi<\/a> has revealed that his vocal cords have fully recovered four years after major surgery. The good news comes just weeks before his band Bon Jovi<\/a> resume touring with a nine-show residency<\/a> at New York City\u2019s Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

The Bon Jovi frontman had undergone treatment for a strained vocal cord, leaving him uncertain whether he would ever be able to perform again. He said in\u00a0a new interview with People<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m fully recovered. It was longer than I\u2019d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also praised his bandmates for their patience, saying, \u201cThey never doubted [me] and never looked for work or decided to retire. The sacrifices that each one of them have made to be there for me is on a whole \u2019nother level. They said, \u2018No, we\u2019re with you.\u2019 Every day of every rehearsal they were there with me. My love for them has only deepened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bon Jovi\u2019s MSG residency<\/a> begins July 7th, and runs through July 26th, with tickets available here<\/a>. As of now, the New York City shows are the only North American dates on the band\u2019s 2026 itinerary, which also includes a string of UK gigs in August and September.<\/p>\n

The rock legend is looking forward to the shows, telling People, \u201cI think that this is a rebirth. It is simply about the joy.\u201d<\/p>\n
