The staff for the television anime<\/a> of Shinobu Kaitani<\/a>‘s Liar Game<\/a> manga revealed on Tuesday a new trailer, key visual, cast, and theme song artists for the second cours<\/a> (quarter of a year).<\/p>\n

The anime premiered<\/a> in Japan on TV Tokyo<\/a> and its affiliates on April 6 at 24:00 (effectively April 7 at 12:00 a.m.). The anime will run<\/a> for six months without breaks. Crunchyroll<\/a> is streaming<\/a> the anime worldwide (excluding Japan and China) and hosted the world premiere screening of the anime’s first two episodes at this year’s Sakura-Con event in Seattle on April 5 at 1:00 p.m. PDT. AMEDIATEKA<\/a> is distributing the anime in the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

REMOW<\/a> introduces the series’ story:<\/p>\n

Y\u016bz\u014d Sat\u014d<\/a> (Kaiji -Ultimate Survivor-<\/a>, Akagi, Trillion Game<\/a>, The Gene of AI<\/a>) is the chief director of the anime at Madhouse<\/a>, and Asami Kawano<\/a> (assistant director for The Vampire Dies in No Time<\/a> both seasons, episode director for Orb: On the Movements of the Earth<\/a>) is directing the anime. Tatsuhiko Urahata<\/a> (Baki<\/a>, Baki Hanma<\/a>, Monster<\/a>, Muv-Luv Alternative<\/a>) is writing and overseeing the series scripts, Kei Tsuchiya<\/a> (Laidbackers<\/a>, Trillion Game, The Gene of AI) is the character designer, and Kisuke Koizumi<\/a> (The Gene of AI, My Happy Marriage<\/a>, Ghost in the Shell Arise<\/a>) is the sound director.<\/p>\n

The manga ran<\/a> from 2005 to January 2015 in Shueisha<\/a>‘s Weekly Young Jump<\/a> magazine. Shueisha published the manga’s 19th and final compiled book volume in May 2015. Kaitani launched<\/a> a new short serialization for the manga titled Liar Game: The Last Game in Shueisha’s Grand Jump Mucha<\/a> magazine on February 25.<\/p>\n

The manga previously inspired two<\/a> live-action films, two<\/a> live-action television series, and two live-action online series. The manga also inspired a stage play in 2023.<\/p>\n

Kaitani’s ONE OUTS<\/a> manga inspired a television anime in 2008.<\/p>\n
