The Flying Taxi event lets Flying-type Pok\u00e9mon soar into the spotlight in Pok\u00e9mon Go! Along with giving you the chance to add Squawkabilly<\/a> to your Pok\u00e9dex, this event also sees the return of Team Rocket when, half way through the event, Flying Taxi: Taken Over will begin. As always, this means new Shadow Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> and changes to the various Team Rocket lineups.<\/p>\n

Squawkabilly debuts in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/p>\n

Squawkabilly, from Gen 9<\/a>, can now be caught in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/a>! Since there’s a selection of different Squawkabilly colour variants, it’s become a regionally exclusive Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> in the same manner as Flab\u00e9b\u00e9 in Go. I’ve taken a look at how to catch Squawkabilly<\/a>, along with where each colour variant spawns, if you need a hand adding it to your Pok\u00e9dex.<\/p>\n

\nThe Flying Taxi event<\/a> is currently running and its brought Squawkabilly<\/a>, along with its various colours, to Pok\u00e9mon Go! The Forever Forward<\/a> season is here, so it’s a good idea to know the June event schedule<\/a>. Go Fest 2026: Global<\/a> is just around the corner!

\nThere’s a lot to do in Pok\u00e9mon Go outside of the current event! From the Go Battle League<\/a>, Remote Trading<\/a>, Pok\u00e9Stop Showcase<\/a>, Routes<\/a> and Max Battles<\/a>. Don’t forget to catch rare Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> while you’re at it.

Flying Taxi: Taken Over event<\/p>\n

Team Rocket will be invading Pok\u00e9mon Go between Thursday 25th June at 10am (local time) to Monday 29th June at 8pm (local time) as part of the Flying Taxi: Taken Over event.<\/p>\n

Giovanni and Team Lineup Changes<\/p>\n

If you want to battle Giovanni<\/a>, then you need to progress through the Go Pass: Flying Taxi until you’ve earned a Super Rocket Radar. This can occur at Rank 30 if you’re on the free track, while the Deluxe Track offers a Super Rocket Radar at Rank One and 30. (You gots to pay for the Deluxe Track though.) Just remember to claim this reward before Wednesday 1st July at 7:59pm (local time).<\/p>\n

Battling Giovanni will give you the chance to catch Shadow Reshiram! As always, there will also be team lineup changes to Giovanni, the Team Rocket Leaders<\/a> and the Grunts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bonuses<\/p>\n

Team Rocket balloons<\/a> appearing more frequently.
\nPok\u00e9Stops invaded by Team Rocket more frequently.
\nA Charged TM can be used to make a Shadow Pok\u00e9mon forget the Frustration, Normal-type Charged Attack.
\nPok\u00e9mon caught via one-star and three-star Shadow Raids<\/a> have a wider variance of Attack, Defense and HP.
\nTeam Rocket-themed field research tasks rewarding Fast TMs, Charged TMs and Mysterious Components<\/a>.<\/p>\n
