\n\tLouis Vuitton<\/a> men\u2019s creative director Pharrell Williams decamped from the desert and Western codes of recent seasons for a cooler idea \u2014 surfing in Paris.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the city melted on the first day of fashion week, Louis Vuitton<\/a> staged a beachscape complete with a giant wave pool, LV-branded surfboards, bicycles and a sandy runway.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe sport theme was fitting, considering the front row filled with NBA player Victor Wembanyama and Olympian L\u00e9on Marchand, who were seated together next to LVMH Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton<\/a> chairman Bernard Arnault, while Jeremy Allen White chatted with Vuitton CEO and LVMH Fashion Group CEO Pietro Beccari.<\/p>\n

\n\tThrongs of fans lined the entrance of Paris\u2019 Cit\u00e9\u00a0Internationale\u00a0Universitaire\u00a0to see BTS\u2019 J-Hope, with the group set to kick off the European leg of its world tour in Barcelona on Friday.<\/p>\n

\n\tJackson Wang marked his eighth appearance at a Vuitton men\u2019s runway show since becoming a house ambassador, arriving in a look from the brand\u2019s fall 2026 collection \u2014 an all-black suit and leather jacket \u2014 which seemed a little hot for the day.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut Wang was less concerned with styling than with the set itself. \u201cI don\u2019t know how to surf; I have no idea. I know nothing about surfing,\u201d he said, taking in the giant wave pool.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJust the set design \u2014 it\u2019s actually real water flowing, and it\u2019s an actual beach, and it\u2019s outdoors,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s f\u2013king crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a creative feast, which you know surprises me. How Pharrell Williams still comes with something and reinvents himself constantly. It\u2019s really mind-boggling, how he does it, and it\u2019s so stimulating for all senses,\u201d said Daniel Bruhl.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe German actor also admitted to a lack of wave skills. \u201cI tried it a couple of times and I was miserable,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe\u2019ll next star in \u201cThe Entertainment System Is Down,\u201d from two-time Palme d\u2019Or winner Ruben Ostlund. But he\u2019s currently prepping to get behind the camera.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI [directed] once and cannot wait to do it again \u2014 obviously with a very different piece and subject matter, different periods going back in time into another sport \u2014 not surfing, thank God, but tennis,\u201d he joked. It will be a World War II-set biopic about the life of tennis legend Gottfried von Cramm.<\/p>\n

\n\tEdmund Donovan, next up in \u201cThe Nightingale,\u201d wore a crinkled Louis Vuitton shirt that he described with bewilderment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is revealing my ignorance about the sophistication of this garment,\u201d he said, while popping the hem up and down. \u201cIt sort of reminds me of pipe cleaner \u2014 as if it had a wire \u2014 you put it in place and it stays.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSince there was a giant wave pool inside, he speculated if the security would let him swim. \u201cThat could help, although this might not fare well in the water,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tWang\u2019s Got7 bandmate BamBam was relaxing in his front row seat, after being put to work on the runway last season. \u201cIt was a good time. This time it was like chill and stuff,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also described his and Williams\u2019 creative partnership, and cited the musician as an inspiration. \u201cPharrell has put me in a lot of projects in the past year,\u201d he said, including presenting a trophy at the Australian Open as part of his brand ambassador duties.<\/p>\n
