Her breakthrough novel \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.japantimes.co.jp\/culture\/2020\/05\/02\/books\/book-reviews\/breasts-and-eggs-mieko-kawakami\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Breasts and Eggs<\/a>,\u201d translated into English by Sam Bett and David Boyd, was brought to the stage at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Germany, in 2022.
