Spark, they said, is designed to help these artists \u201cbring their music projects to life through grants, mentorship, and dedicated marketing support.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s understood these grants will range from the thousands to tens of thousands of dollars for each act.<\/p>\n
According to the blog post, each selected Spark artist will receive a grant toward their creative work, additional marketing funding, an invitation to collaborate with established artists at Suno\u2018s writing camps, and the opportunity to give feedback on features the company is building.<\/p>\n

The Spark landing page<\/a> adds further detail: selected artists will also receive a dedicated Suno partner manager, free Suno Premier access and song credits, early access to upcoming tools, editorial placements on the platform, and opportunities to work with established music video directors.<\/p>\n In return, participating artists must promote their songs \u201cvia multiple social media platforms (Instagram<\/a>, TikTok, YouTube<\/a>, etc, highlighting that it was made with Suno),\u201d according to the program\u2019s FAQ.<\/p>\n Selected artists are also \u201cencouraged to release to DSPs and other platforms\u201d.<\/p>\n To be eligible for Spark, applicants must be at least 18, releasing music under their own name, and operating as independent, unsigned acts.<\/p>\n Suno says participating artists will retain creative control and the commercial rights to their work, and it won\u2019t tell artists how to distribute their music.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Suno\u2019s separate \u201cfine print\u201d terms <\/a>for Spark carry an array of conditions for participating artists that the main Spark blog post does not mention.<\/p>\n One of these is an ant-disparagement clause.<\/p>\n Under a clause headed \u201cGood Vibes Only,\u201d participants agree that \u201cduring the Term and thereafter,\u201d they \u201cwill not at any time make any statements or representations, either directly or indirectly, whether orally or in writing, that portrays Suno, Suno personnel, and\/or any Suno products or services in a negative light.\u201d<\/p>\n A violation of that clause \u201cwill be considered a material breach and grounds for termination,\u201d the Spark terms state.<\/p>\n A separate section covering name, image and likeness grants Suno permission to use a participating artist\u2019s content \u201cand your name and likeness for marketing and promotional purposes during the Term and thereafter.\u201d<\/p>\n That license extends, according to the terms, to \u201cSuno owned or operated channels, press and other digital media, including in derivative works.\u201d<\/p>\n The Spark fine print also notes that participants must accept Suno\u2019s standard terms of service<\/a>.<\/p>\n Within those terms is a reference to class action claims.<\/p>\n According to the ToS, by agreeing to them, \u201cyou and Suno are each waiving the right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action,\u201d with disputes instead decided by \u201ca neutral arbitrator, not a judge or jury.\u201d<\/p>\n Suno\u00a0is currently facing a proposed class action brought by independent artists,\u00a0as\u00a0MBW\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0when the case was filed in June\u00a02025.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, plaintiffs\u2019 class-action firm\u00a0Hagens Berman\u00a0joined that lawsuit<\/a>, which alleges that artists\u2019 copyrighted recordings were used, without authorization, to train\u00a0Suno\u2018s AI models;
