An iconic \u201980s supermodel still looks fantastic now, decades after the height of her career, and she isn\u2019t letting critics tear her down. Paulina Porizkova<\/a>, 61, recently took to social media to respond after some people had commented negatively on her \u201cweight gain.\u201d<\/p>\n

On June 17, Porizkova shared a video on Instagram<\/a> that highlighted her figure and made it clear she\u2019s still in fabulous shape. She noted that she had previously mentioned gaining weight and that she was fine with it.<\/p>\n

Porizkova\u2019s honesty resonated with her fans, who loved how she talked about an oftentimes sensitive topic.\u00a0However, the iconic supermodel received plenty of \u201cadvice\u201d or criticism, too.<\/p>\n

She wrote there had been \u201ca few peeps who helpfully wanted to let me know that if I ate and exercised the right way, I COULD get rid of the weight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although tone can be difficult to read in social media posts, Porizkova<\/a> didn\u2019t need to point out that she didn\u2019t find those types of comments particularly helpful.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, thank you. I know I can get rid of the weight\u2026My point was and IS: to resist to age takes an awful lot of time and money. And at this point in my life, I\u2019m more comfortable in this body than I\u2019ve ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Porizkova explained, she is more \u201cgrateful\u201d for her body than she\u2019s ever been, as well. She added, \u201cAnd I have a ton of other things I want to do with my time and money,\u201d adding a winking emoji at the end.<\/p>\n

Porizkova\u2019s<\/a> message was heard loud and clear by her supporters, who felt inspired by her message.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe confidence of truly knowing and appreciating your body rather than viewing your body,\u201d a supporter wrote<\/a> about Porizkova and the supermodel\u2019s attitude.<\/p>\n

\u201cAging is so taboo for women; what you do is immensely valuable. For a complete stranger, I appreciate you so much,\u201d commented<\/a> a fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look incredible, and not \u2018for your age,\u2019 I just mean strikingly beautiful, period,\u201d declared<\/a> someone else.<\/p>\n
