\n\tThe Grammy Award-winning \u201cAnxiety\u201d artist wore a selection from the brand\u2019s spring 2006 ready-to-wear collection. The deep brown dress gave the illusion of ornate crochet craftsmanship, with a halter neckline and a tied back that created a mostly plunging backless element and cutouts at the sides.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the illusion of the crochet material, the dress showcased its ornate construction, complete with a floral motif at the center, fitted bust and drop waist that transitioned to an expansive skirt with a train that trailed Doechii on the arrival carpet. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe entire look merged sensuality, craft and Y2K trends <\/a>together. Under the styling of Sam Woolf, Doechii\u2019s become a red carpet<\/a> fixation over the course of the last few years. She\u2019s worn pieces that continue to evoke her unique approach to fashion, including designs by Roberto Cavalli, Cult Gaia and her 2026 Met Gala<\/a> look designed by Marc Jacobs. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe recent Met Gala also saw Doechii make a statement regarding footwear \u2014 or the lack thereof. The \u201cDenial Is A River\u201d artist opted to go barefoot at the event, adorning her ankle with a gold bangle and showing off the intricate henna work on her skin. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe moment created a bit of a movement. Not long before the 2026 Met Gala, runways featured models going barefoot as well, like on Matthieu Blazy\u2019s catwalk to showcase Chanel\u2019s cruise 2027 collection. <\/p>\n

\n\tInstead heels, models wore footwear that WWD\u2019s\u00a0Joelle Diderich described<\/a> as \u201clittle more than a heel cap.\u201d At Sunday night\u2019s BET Awards, Doechii did, indeed, wear a pair of strappy heels.<\/p>\n

\n\tHosted by comedian and internet personality Druski, the 2026 BET Awards were held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night and honored the breakout Black creatives of the last year. The annual awards show celebrates writers, musicians, filmmakers and more, honoring and uplifting Black culture.
