Far\u2011right National Security Minister Itamar Ben\u2011Gvir called the framework agreement \u201ca huge mistake\u201d and reportedly demanded that Prime Minister Netanyahu bring the deal to a cabinet vote. Ben\u2011Gvir stated he had been fighting against the agreement for weeks, arguing it does not serve Israel\u2019s security interests. Prime Minister Netanyahu defended the agreement, stating that under the framework, Israel and Lebanon had identified two \u201cpilot zones\u201d beyond the so\u2011called Yellow Line where Israeli forces would withdraw and the Lebanese army would deploy. He emphasised that Israel would maintain its presence at Beaufort Castle and respond to any violation.
