\n\tEXCLUSIVE: \u00a0Two-time BAFTA-winning filmmaker Joe Wright<\/a> is attached to direct the feature take on the Tim Winton post-apocalyptic thriller novel Juice<\/a> for Working Title<\/a> Films.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe multi-Oscar-winning UK production company has optioned rights to Juice and set BAFTA and Emmy winner Abi Morgan<\/a> (The Hour, Shame, The Iron Lady) to adapt.<\/p>\n

\n\tJuice is set in a\u00a0fractured and ravaged\u00a0world following a climate-change disaster. A young husband and father is recruited into a top-secret resistance organization, to join the ranks of\u00a0militia\u00a0men tasked with targeting the\u00a0isolated and wealthy culprits\u00a0responsible\u00a0for this global catastrophe. \u00a0When a mission goes wrong, he finds himself on the run, having to fight to the end to survive in this\u00a0hostile world. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWright most recently directed The Agency for Showtime\/Paramount+. His feature film credits include\u00a0Atonement, Pride & Prejudice, Anna Karenina, Darkest Hour, Hanna\u00a0and\u00a0The Soloist.<\/p>\n

\n\tAustralian author Winton\u2019s novels include Cloudstreet, Breath, The Turning, and Blueback, all of which have been turned into films.\u00a0He has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize twice,\u00a0including for his international bestselling novel\u00a0The Riders\u00a0which is currently\u00a0in post-production at A24 for producers Scott Free, starring Academy Award winner\u00a0Brad Pitt and directed by\u00a0Conclave\u2019s\u00a0Edward Berger.<\/p>\n
