The \u201cSuperman\u201d star posted several photos of himself working out, his left leg still in a boot, with the caption \u201cEndure. In enduring, grow strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCavill stars in \u201cHighlander\u201d alongside Russell Crowe, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Dave Bautista, Marisa Abela and Max Zhang. Stahelski, who helmed the \u201cJohn Wick\u201d film franchise, directs from a script by Michael Finch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe \u201cHighlander\u201d remake has been in development for over a decade. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2009\/film\/markets-festivals\/summit-taps-lin-moritz-for-highlander-1118008961\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">first announced in 2009<\/a> at Summit Entertainment, spearheaded by producer Neal H. Moritz. <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2016\/film\/news\/highlander-reboot-moves-forward-with-john-wick-director-chad-stahelski-1201924861\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Stahelski joined the project in 2016<\/a> and Cavill was <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/film\/news\/henry-cavill-highlander-reboot-chad-stahelski-1234978941\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">attached as the star<\/a> in 2021. Then earlier this year, United Artists, under the leadership of its new chief, Scott Stuber, acquired the project from Lionsgate. Stuber and Mortiz both serve as producers on the film with Nick Nesbitt, Josh Davis, Louise Rosner and Stahelski\u2019s production banner, 87Eleven Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tChristopher Lambert and Sean Connery lead the original 1986 \u201cHighlander,\u201d which sees an ancient clash of Scottish immortals reincarnate into modern-day Manhattan.
