{"id":523260,"date":"2026-07-03T12:03:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T12:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/523260\/"},"modified":"2026-07-03T12:03:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T12:03:08","slug":"two-arrested-following-attack-on-tel-aviv-deputy-mayor-activist-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/523260\/","title":{"rendered":"Two arrested following attack on Tel Aviv deputy mayor, activist group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tel Aviv District Police arrested two suspects near Tikva Market in south Tel Aviv on suspicion of being involved in an assault against activists, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/culture\/article-901257\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tel Aviv<\/a> Deputy Mayor Chen Arieli, police confirmed on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A number of people gathered around the activists, who had set up a stand, and physically and verbally attacked them, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/crime-in-israel\/article-901294\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Israel Police<\/a> added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The suspects were taken in for questioning, police noted.<\/p>\n<p>Arieli was at the stand with youth activists from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-899748\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Democrats Party<\/a>, the deputy mayor wrote on social media after the event.
