If the nipple inverts suddenly (when previously it was everted), or there is spontaneous discharge (especially bloody or clear, non-milky), combined with skin changes or thickening, that is a serious combination.<\/p>\n
Persistent pain + swelling + changing shape<\/p>\n
Breast pain that does not align with menstrual cycles, plus swelling or alteration in breast size or contour, should not be dismissed, especially if the changes stick around.<\/p>\n
Lymph node swelling AND breast changes<\/p>\n
Discovery of underarm (axillary) lymph node enlargement, together with any of the above breast symptoms (mass, skin change, nipple alteration), may indicate the cancer has spread into lymphatic pathways.<\/p>\n
