The first official Black Sabbath<\/a> book, The Masters of Reality \u2013 Why Black Sabbath Matters, will arrive in October via Rufus Publishing.<\/p>\n

The book was spearheaded by photographer Ross Halfin, documenting the history of the band\u2019s Ozzy Osbourne periods from the late \u201960s until their final show at the \u201cBack to the Beginning\u201d concert. Limited edition copies are signed by all four original members of the band, including Ozzy Osbourne, who lent his signature to the book prior to his passing in July 2025.<\/p>\n

The Masters of Reality is over 500 pages of rare photographs and memorabilia, as well as essays from Geoff Barton and Dave Ling, and interviews with all four original band members.<\/p>\n

Halfin said, \u201cOzzy and Sharon wanted the book out soon after the final show in Birmingham but Ozzy suddenly passing away caused the music world to stop. Ozzy was fully involved with the book and he signed the book plates months before the final show, as did all the bandmembers. So now we all thought the time was right, one year after \u2018Back To The Beginning,\u2019 to announce the project. A book we all feel celebrates both Black Sabbath and Ozzy and illustrates just how important they are. I hope fans enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The book comes in three editions: a standard edition in hardback with a foil Henry on the cover, a leather-bound signed super deluxe edition, and a brushed-metal signed super deluxe edition. Pre-order them here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Black Sabbath recently got the demos from their early years under the name Earth<\/a> back, and they are currently being evaluated for a potential release.<\/p>\n
