“NCIS: New York”\u00a0is bringing another familiar face to the Big Apple.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Beals will join LL COOL J\u00a0and Scott Caan as a series regular on the upcoming CBS spin-off, TVLine has learned.\u00a0She’ll play\u00a0Robyn Wells,\u00a0the director of the NCIS New York field office “who leads with her intuition and is widely respected by her team,”\u00a0per the official description. She’ll act as the boss to LL COOL J’s Sam Hanna (the same role he played on “NCIS: Los Angeles”) and Caan’s\u00a0Nick Schaeffer.<\/p>\n

Also joining the “NCIS: New York”\u00a0cast as series regulars:\u00a0Jacqueline Byers (“Dark Winds”), as special agent Addy Ross; Shane Harper\u00a0(“Power Book IV: Force”), as\u00a0special agent Wyatt Hill; and Devin Druid (“13 Reasons Why”) as tech specialist\u00a0Sean Sullivan. All three will be members of Sam and Nick’s team.<\/p>\n

Beals first broke out as the star of the ’80s box office hit “Flashdance.”\u00a0She later starred as Bette Porter on the Showtime drama “The L Word,”\u00a0appearing in all six seasons as well as the follow-up series “The L Word:\u00a0Generation Q.”\u00a0Her other TV credits include “Law &\u00a0Order:\u00a0Organized Crime,”\u00a0“The Book of Boba Fett,”\u00a0“The Night Shift,” and “Lie to Me.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

“NCIS:\u00a0New York”\u00a0landed a surprise series order<\/a> at CBS in April, with LL COOL J\u00a0returning as “NCIS: Los Angeles”\u00a0agent Sam Hanna and pairing up with “Hawaii Five-0”\u00a0veteran Scott Caan. It’ll air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. this fall<\/a>, in between the original “NCIS” \u2014\u00a0which welcomes back Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo<\/a> next season \u2014\u00a0and prequel “NCIS: Origins.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

In “NCIS:\u00a0New York,”\u00a0“legendary NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna returns to his hometown of New York City to the NCIS field office, partnering with a roguish agent\u00a0and helping lead a new team as they are tasked with high-stakes missions to defend one of the most vital cities and ports in the world,”\u00a0per the official description. The series will begin filming in New York this month, with Byron Balasco (“Kingdom”) serving as showrunner.\u00a0<\/p>\n
