{"id":532598,"date":"2026-07-09T07:44:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T07:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/532598\/"},"modified":"2026-07-09T07:44:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T07:44:09","slug":"heatwave-puts-pressure-on-doncaster-and-bassetlaw-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/532598\/","title":{"rendered":"Heatwave puts pressure on Doncaster and Bassetlaw hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Soaring summer temperatures put pressure on hospital services similar to winter problems, according to a senior NHS manager.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Zara Jones, Acting Chief Executive of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, said heatwaves placed additional demands on staff, patients and buildings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">NHS England said A&amp;Es nationwide &#8220;bore the brunt&#8221; as the May heatwave piled pressure on hospitals.
