{"id":537160,"date":"2026-07-12T02:19:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T02:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/537160\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T02:19:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T02:19:10","slug":"youth-suicides-in-hong-kong-hit-10-year-high-court-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/537160\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth suicides in Hong Kong hit 10-year high: court report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Youth suicide cases confirmed by Hong Kong Coroner\u2019s Court reached a decade-high last year, despite a 10 per cent overall decline across the population to 1,019.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">According to the annual coroners\u2019 report published last month, suicide cases confirmed by the court declined across almost all age groups, except for those aged between 10 and 19.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Last year, 46 adolescents aged 10 to 19 were reported to have taken their own lives, up from 34 cases in the previous year and reaching a decade high.
