Uncovering unexpected stories of adventure, determination and passion, the series offers unique insights into the extraordinary lives of remarkable people from across Wales \u2013 from Prestatyn to Newport, from Abersoch to Monmouth, and from Clwyd to Carmarthenshire.<\/p>\n

Sleigh<\/p>\n
Joe and her remarkable junior team at Mynydd Sleddog Adventures in the north east fight for qualification to represent Great Britain at the International Federation of Sleddog Sports (IFSS) European Championships in Sweden.<\/p>\n
As we follow them through wild weather, school commitments, long travel days and early starts, what unfolds is the story of a group of young people who refuse to let circumstance dictate the limits of their ambition. These are working-class kids from rural Wales \u2013 a true band of underdogs\u2013 finding purpose, confidence and identity through an unconventional sport, and forging deep bonds with their dogs along the way.<\/p>\n
Flying without Wings<\/p>\n
Towy Valley mother Laura Davis becomes one of Wales\u2019 few female hot air balloon pilots after her husband Arwel\u2019s tragic death. Taking up ballooning to honour him, she faces emotional challenges, self-doubt and unpredictable weather as she approaches a major milestone.<\/p>\n
Beyond the Waves<\/p>\n
After losing his leg in a life changing accident as a teenager, digger operator Llywelyn Williams from Abersoch found solace in the ocean.<\/p>\n
Surfing played a pivotal role in his recovery, helping him rebuild his life from the ground up and propelling him to the pinnacle of his sport: winning four consecutive Para Surfing World Championships. Now sitting on top of the adaptive surfing world, Llywelyn faces the ultimate test: staying there.<\/p>\n
The documentary follows him to Australia where he faces his main rival, a former world champion competing on his own local beach. Can Llywelyn defy the odds once again, or will the local favourite come out on top?<\/p>\n
The Wig Queen of Prestatyn – Our Lives<\/p>\n
For hairdresser Rebecca Morgan-Brennan, a wig fitting is never just about choosing hair.<\/p>\n
20 years after opening her first hair salon in Prestatyn, hair-loss specialist Rebecca now runs two. She gives people time, privacy and clear advice as they work out what feels right for them. Some are anxious. Some are grieving the person they used to be. Others just want to feel like themselves again.<\/p>\n
This film follows Rebecca and her clients through cancer, alopecia and the moment a wig changes everything.<\/p>\n
Workhorse<\/p>\n
Kate Moggs-Morgan from Monmouth has spent over a decade working with horses for sustainable forestry, training them to reach areas machines can\u2019t. As her lead horse nears retirement, the documentary follows her preparing a new generation while reflecting on how a life-changing cancer diagnosis led her to this career.<\/p>\n
The Nanaz: Age Against The Machine<\/p>\n
Follow The Nanaz, an all-female punk band from Newport in their 50s and 60s who are taking the music scene by storm. The documentary follows their trip to New York for a major festival and explores why this group of older women ended up pursuing punk in this later stage of life.<\/p>\n
These six documentaries form part of the Our Lives series which showcases unique stories from across the UK. The series is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer, with episodes airing weekly on BBC One and BBC One Wales.<\/p>\n
