EastEnders<\/a> spoilers follow.<\/p>\n

Love was in the air on tonight’s EastEnders<\/a> (July 14) as Kojo Asare went on a date. Recent episodes have seen Kojo join a dating app<\/a>, with help from his friends Harry Mitchell and Gina Knight.<\/p>\n

Monday’s episode had seen Kojo match with a girl named Katrina, leading to the pair arranging a date for the next day.<\/p>\n

But when the time came to meet Katrina at Harry’s Barn, Kojo got cold feet, with Gina having to call in Harry for reinforcement. With half an hour to go before Katrina’s arrival, Kojo was pacing around the bar saying: “I can’t do it.”<\/p>\n

Kojo told Harry that he couldn’t think of anything to say to his date but his best friend reassured him, saying that he would find the words once Katrina arrived. <\/p>\n

But when Harry told him that dating meant a lot of lying, Gina intervened, telling Kojo that he just has to be himself. Kojo then asked Harry and Gina to stay and they agreed to be his “wingpeople” for the night, with Penny and Vinny then joining them. <\/p>\n

Katrina arrived with Sophie, her chaperone from the dating agency, with Kojo introducing them to his table of friends. <\/p>\n

Gina, Harry, Penny, and Vinny then looked on as Kojo and Katrina got to know each other, with the new couple making each other laugh. The sweet scenes led Gina to get emotional over how her and Penny’s friendship has changed with her moving out and Penny becoming a mum.<\/p>\n

At the end of their date, Katrina asked Kojo if he’d like her phone number, and confirmed that she liked him. Kojo then went and excitedly told Harry and Gina that he got Katrina’s number. <\/p>\n

Katrina is played by Charlene Salter, who previously worked on stage play Imposter 22 alongside Kojo actor Dayo Koleosho. We can only hope that Katrina sticks around and we see her romance with Kojo blossom. <\/p>\n

EastEnders<\/a> airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
