Ousmane Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 arrived at the 2026 World Cup as one of the best forwards in the world. He won the Ballon d\u2019Or (soccer\u2019s most prestigious individual trophy) in 2025, claimed back-to-back Champions League titles with Paris Saint-Germain in 2025 and 2026, and he was a member of the France roster that won the 2018 World Cup. Although he has been one of the most followed players at this year\u2019s tournament with five goals and two assists so far<\/a>, many of his fans have been eager to learn more<\/a> about his number one fan in the stands, his wife, Rima Edbouche. Edbouche was born into a Moroccan Berber family, originally from the village of Douar Agbalou<\/a> in southwestern Morocco. Her parents, Brahim Edbouche and Fatima Bouzidane, are devout Muslims who at some point relocated to Italy before eventually settling in France. Edbouche grew up in Paris and today her parents live in Agadir, Morocco.<\/p>\n

Her heritage has been a defining influence. \u201cI also believe that my Moroccan heritage has greatly shaped my perception of femininity and elegance,\u201d she told Vogue<\/a> in a match day diary at the World Cup. \u201cIn Moroccan culture, aesthetics, attention to detail, and elegance hold an important place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 and Edbouche married in December 2021<\/a> in a traditional Moroccan ceremony. They have a daughter, born in September 2022, whose name they have kept private. The circumstances of how and when the couple met have never been disclosed.<\/p>\n

Edbouche largely avoids the media spotlight and frequently wears a hijab in public, at times shielding her face from cameras with a mask. She is nonetheless a consistent presence at significant moments in Demb\u00e9l\u00e9’s career, appearing in the stands for major matches and joining him on the pitch for trophy celebrations with PSG.<\/p>\n

That same year she became a mother, Edbouche also started her own clothing brand, Razalae, which is said to specialize in modest, elegant, Islamic-inspired fashion with a contemporary aesthetic. She counts designers and labels such as Ala\u00efa, Loro Piana, The Frankie Shop, and COS among her top inspirations.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a very young age, I have always been sensitive to aesthetics and the beauty of artistic expression. I have a deep appreciation for the arts in all their forms, and I have always considered fashion to be a form of artistic expression,\u201d Edbouche told Vogue. \u201cI also pursued this passion through my education, completing higher studies in art and earning a degree in the field. My mother played an important role in shaping this sensibility as well\u2014she always loved fashion and had a beautiful wardrobe, which naturally influenced me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She loves photography.<\/p>\n

Edbouche does maintain a social media presence, with 475,000 followers on Instagram<\/a> and 360,000 on TikTok<\/a>. She also appears to be an avid photographer, sharing stylized photos from little moments from her travels and everyday life, such as a recent stay at The Oberoi in Marrakech or her favorite perfume bottles.<\/p>\n

Athletes are famous for their own pregame rituals, and it turns out Edbouche has her own. \u201cUsually, two to three hours before heading to the stadium, I take my time getting both my daughter and myself ready,\u201d she told Vogue. \u201cI like everything to feel calm and organized before the excitement of the match begins. If I\u2019m feeling stressed, I also take a few moments for prayer and remembrance to help me feel grounded.\u201d<\/p>\n
