{"id":543068,"date":"2026-07-15T18:03:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T18:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/543068\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T18:03:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T18:03:08","slug":"morocco-signs-agreement-on-participation-in-gaza-international-stabilization-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/543068\/","title":{"rendered":"Morocco Signs Agreement on Participation in Gaza International Stabilization Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rabat \u2013Morocco\u00a0 signed an agreement Wednesday governing its participation in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement provides the legal framework governing the technical and operational aspects of Morocco\u2019s participation, reaffirming the country\u2019s commitment to supporting regional peace and security.<\/p>\n<p>The signing took place during the visit of Nickolay Mladenov, the High Representative of the Gaza Peace Council.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco\u2019s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita and Minister Delegate in charge of National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudyi received Mladenov in Rabat in implementation of the high <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moroccoworldnews.com\/2026\/01\/275709\/king-mohammed-vi-accepts-role-as-founding-member-of-us-led-peace-council\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">instructions<\/a> of King Mohammed VI.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Morocco\u2019s planned contribution includes the deployment of senior armed forces officers to the ISF Joint Command, personnel from the Royal Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), as well as the establishment of a military field hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place at the headquarters of the National Defense Administration. The Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the Southern Zone, the Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, as well as a high-level delegation from the Gaza Peace Council and the ISF in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moroccoworldnews.com\/2026\/02\/279539\/morocco-is-officially-among-the-first-five-countries-to-commit-troops-to-gazas-isf\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Gaza<\/a> attended the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the national defense administration said the visit took place as part of Morocco\u2019s implementation of its commitment as a founding member of the Gaza Peace Council. The membership is in line with the monarch\u2019s high directives during the council\u2019s inaugural meeting in Washington, which was chaired by US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, Morocco\u2019s delegation emphasized that the country\u2019s participation in the ISF is part of its longstanding commitment to the values of peace, cooperation, and international solidarity.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco also reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to promoting peace and security in the Middle East,\u00a0 citing its extensive experience in UN peacekeeping operations and its sustained regional and international efforts to advance peace and stability.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, Morocco\u2019s delegation also stressed the royal initiatives that the King launched, particularly regional integration projects that contribute to security and social development.<\/p>\n<p>Senior officials from the Gaza Peace Council and the ISF Commander welcomed Morocco\u2019s decision to join the peace initiative, hailing the country\u2019s planned contributions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rabat \u2013Morocco\u00a0 signed an agreement Wednesday governing its participation in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza.
