The anime premiered on television on July 7 on “Ka-Anival!!,” Kansai TV<\/a> and Fuji TV<\/a>‘s new anime programming block<\/a> that airs on Tuesday nights at 11:00 p.m (10:00 a.m. EDT). The anime had its global premiere<\/a> at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June with its first two episodes.<\/p>\n

The anime began streaming<\/a> on Amazon Prime Video<\/a> Japan starting on July 7 at 11:30 p.m. JST (10:30 a.m. EDT), right after its broadcast. The anime is also exclusively streaming simultaneously on Prime Video in over 240 countries and regions worldwide, excluding mainland China, Russia, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n

The anime’s first two episodes also screened at Anime Expo<\/a> on July 4. A panel featuring director Mokochan<\/a>, character designer and animation director Sh\u016bhei Handa<\/a>, and other producers was held after the screening.<\/p>\n

Anime Limited<\/a>‘s All the Anime revealed<\/a> the English dub<\/a> cast for the show last month.<\/p>\n

Mokochan (storyboarder, key animator for DAN DA DAN<\/a>, The Heike Story<\/a>, Tatami Time Machine Blues<\/a>) is making his directorial debut with the anime at Science SARU. Toh Enjoe<\/a> (The Empire of Corpses<\/a> novelist; Space Dandy<\/a>, Godzilla Singular Point<\/a> scripts) is both writing and overseeing the series scripts. Sh\u016bhei Handa (Little Witch Academia TV<\/a> series, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off<\/a>, Spriggan (ONA)<\/a> is designing the characters and also serving as chief animation director. Taisei Iwasaki<\/a> (BELLE<\/a>) is serving as music director, and is composing the music along with Ry\u014d Konishi<\/a> (Journal with Witch<\/a> theme song) and Yuki Kanesaka<\/a> (Dr. Stone<\/a>).<\/p>\n

King Gnu<\/a> performs the opening theme song “Go Ghost.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

MILLENNIUM PARADE<\/a> feat. Saya Gray<\/a>, Daniel Caesar<\/a> perform the ending theme song “Blue.”<\/p>\n

Bandai Namco Filmworks<\/a>, Kodansha<\/a>, Science SARU, and Production I.G<\/a> are on the production committee<\/a> for the series.<\/p>\n

Bandai Namco Filmworks announced the new series in May 2024. Voice actress Atsuko Tanaka<\/a>, the voice of Motoko Kusanagi in the franchise<\/a>, died<\/a> in August 2024 at 61 years old.<\/p>\n
