Many of the U.S.\u2019s 71.3 million Social Security beneficiaries are paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in each month<\/a>, depending on their date of birth.<\/p>\n

July 22 is the fourth Wednesday this month, so Social Security payments are due to be sent out to recipients born between the 21st and 31st of any month. <\/p>\n

July 2026\u2019s full three-Wednesdays schedule is:Born on 1st to 10th of any month: Wednesday, July 8Born on 11th to 20th of any month: Wednesday, July 15Born on 21st to 31st of any month: Wednesday, July 22<\/p>\n

NB: If you get Social Security benefits based on someone else\u2019s work record, the SSA uses the other person\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

What other Social Security payment dates are there in July 2026?July 2: Paid to some long-term recipients<\/p>\n

Social Security recipients who started receiving their benefits before May 1997 were issued this month\u2019s money on Thursday, July 2<\/a>, regardless of their birthday.<\/p>\n

July 2: Paid to recipients who also claim SSI<\/p>\n

July 2 was also this month\u2019s Social Security distribution date for beneficiaries who combine the scheme with Supplemental Security Income<\/a> (SSI), a benefit for certain low-income individuals. July\u2019s SSI was paid on Wednesday 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Social Security is typically sent to the above long-term and twin recipients on the third of each month, but payment was made early because July 3 was a federal holiday.<\/p>\n
