Nana opens up about tattoo removal<\/p>\n
Nana, who formerly promoted along with the popular K-pop group After School, was known for her wide array of tattoos. However, a few years back, she slowly removed almost all of her tattoos, leaving only one behind. In a recent social media post, the singer turned actress opened up about her decision. The post detailed on about how the star chose to keep one of the most meaningful tattoos on her body, ‘1968’, while she had the rest of them removed. She shared that, \u201cI don’t regret it. I left the only tattoo that gave meaning to my body. 1968, the existence I respect the most. I came back with a clean body.\u201dShe also talked about how the tattoos were a major part of her past that she held on to, and how, although there was pain in removing them, she overcame them with her determination. \u201cI overcame it by honestly expressing, acknowledging, and accepting the pain. I want to make a song that anyone can relate to. No one will have pain. I can overcome the pain. I want to give a message of hope to someone. I hope you are happy,\u201d she added.As per Allkpop, the actress had revealed in 2023 during a press conference that one of the driving forces behind her decision to get her tattoos removed came from her mother. She had revealed at the time that, \u201cMy mom carefully said she wanted to see me with a clean body again. Since she allowed me when I first got them, I had no hesitation and said, \u2018Okay, I will erase them.\u2019\u201dNana has been heavily focused on her career as an actress ever since her departure from After School. Over the years, she has appeared in a lot of big-budget projects, which include Oh! My Ladylord\u2019, The Swindlers\u2019, \u2018Memorials\u2019, \u2018My Man is Cupid\u2019, and \u2018White: Melody of Death\u2019, to name a few.
