Former Coronation Street<\/a> star Luca Toolan has shared a new career move after his dramatic soap exit<\/a> last year. The actor played the role of Mason Radcliffe, who was at the centre of the harrowing Liam Connor bullying storyline.<\/p>\n

Mason was killed off at the start of 2025 when he was stabbed by brother Logan after trying to gather evidence for DS Swain against his siblings, and had started to turn his life around.<\/p>\n

Luca has now revealed that he has launched his own production company, opening up about the change to Cheshire’s Mix 56’s Phil Roberts.<\/p>\n

“Life after Corrie, I\u2019m not actually dead!” the star said in a TikTok<\/a> interview. “Life continues, I\u2019m making my own stuff now, I\u2019ve got my own production company so that\u2019s my passion is making projects.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s a dream come true, that\u2019s the stuff that really excites me, having that creative licence and writing, directing, making, hearing stuff. Honestly that\u2019s the funnest stuff,” Luca added.<\/p>\n

Fans shared their support in the comments, one writing: “Good luck @Lucaku and hope you are well!” while another added: “Good luck to you I would love to see you in [Corrie] again.”<\/p>\n

Speaking following his exit<\/a> last year, Luca said of his future plans: “I love acting so much and I really hope I’ll continue doing it. I’ve seriously learned so much from Corrie and I\u2019m so grateful to everyone involved there.<\/p>\n

“As for my future, I’m not sure what it holds but the saying I like to say is: ‘I’m aiming for the stars and if I miss, I’ll hit the moon’.”<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, show writer Joe Parkinson previously revealed<\/a> that Mason’s exit was initially planned to follow Liam’s bullying ordeal storyline.<\/p>\n

“I pitched it with another writer and it never seemed like the right moment. Originally, it was, I think, Liam stabbing Dylan and we didn’t want to do that with either character at the time,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Then it became Mason, so that was another thing that we sort of refined and refined over months with story conference until it became what you saw on screen.”<\/p>\n

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
