Born in Sydney, Australia, to an Italian father and Australian mother, Natalie\u00a0Imbruglia, 51, joined the cast of Neighbours<\/a> at the age of 17. In 1997, she released her debut album, Left of the Middle, which gave her the global hit single Torn. She\u00a0releases her seventh studio album, Algorithm, on\u00a04\u00a0September. She lives in Oxfordshire with her son.<\/p>\n

What is your greatest fear?
As an Italian, tinned spaghetti. As\u00a0a\u00a0child, I was once served it\u00a0at\u00a0someone\u2019s house. It was quite\u00a0frightening.<\/p>\n

Which living person do you most\u00a0admire, and why?
Alanis Morissette because, in my earlier career, she was a big influence on me and had a feistiness that you didn\u2019t see much of in women in the industry. Also, she has been very vocal about mental health issues.<\/p>\n

What is the trait you most deplore\u00a0in\u00a0yourself?
Being late.<\/p>\n

What is the trait you most deplore\u00a0in\u00a0others?
Not having the ability to say sorry when they\u2019re wrong.<\/p>\n

What was your most embarrassing moment?
Forgetting the words to my own songs on stage. I\u2019m a very good mumbler of my own songs. You\u2019d be surprised how few people notice \u2013 if you smile and do it confidently, they\u2019re none the wiser.<\/p>\n

What keeps you awake at night?
I worry a lot about how to juggle being a single parent and working \u2013\u00a0scheduling keeps me up at night!<\/p>\n

What would your superpower be?
I\u2019d clone myself so I could work and be\u00a0with my son at the same time.<\/p>\n

What makes you unhappy?
Living in England when there are too many grey\u00a0days in a row.<\/p>\n

Who is your celebrity crush?
I would never tell you in a million years.<\/p>\n

Which book are you ashamed not\u00a0to\u00a0have read?
None. I\u2019m not ashamed. I\u2019m dyslexic so I don\u2019t read a lot of books.<\/p>\n

What did you want to be when you\u00a0were growing up?
A hairdresser through the week and\u00a0a\u00a0star on the weekends.<\/p>\n

What was the last lie that you told?
It was to do with Santa Claus around\u00a0Christmastime.<\/p>\n

What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Junk food \u2013 Haribos, Wotsits.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry I\u2019m late.\u201d I have ADHD \u2013 even if\u00a0I get up three hours before, I\u00a0somehow manage to procrastinate.<\/p>\n

What is the worst job you\u2019ve done?
I\u2019ve enjoyed every single job, including working at my dad\u2019s chicken shop selling potato gems (fried potato circles) to the surfer dudes.<\/p>\n

When did you last cry and why?
On the way here, because I was late.<\/p>\n
