The core product innovation centres on an entirely new flavour profile developed with direct creative input from the band members.<\/p>\n

Departing from the classic chocolate aesthetic, the limited-edition treat pairs Oreo\u2019s first-ever purple wafer cookies, a visual nod to the signature color associated with the group\u2019s global \u201cARMY\u201d fanbase, with a specialized, dual-layer brown sugar pancake-flavored cr\u00e8me filling.<\/p>\n

This flavour profile is directly inspired by hotteok, a popular, sweet syrup-filled pancake sold throughout traditional South Korean street food markets, which holds nostalgic childhood significance for the musical artists.<\/p>\n

To mark the group\u2019s 13th anniversary, the physical biscuits feature 13 unique, custom-molded embossments designed by the band members themselves.<\/p>\n

These collectible patterns swap out the traditional Oreo stamp for the names of individual members, the iconic BTS light stick silhouette, and interlocking graphics that form a hidden message for fans who collect and arrange the various designs.<\/p>\n

The retail packaging also mirrors this cultural theme, utilizing vibrant graphic artwork influenced by the bustling atmosphere of Seoul\u2019s night markets.<\/p>\n

South African consumers can scan on-pack QR codes to access a dedicated portal, where they can win exclusive co-branded merchandise and help create a massive digital \u201clove letter\u201d to the band.<\/p>\n
