Prof. Marcel Machluf from the Technion; Prof. Jihad Al-Sana from Ben-Gurion University; Prof. Leah Laor from the Levinsky-Wingate Academic Center; and Prof. Idit Teshuva from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem stated: &#8216;The State of Israel&#8217;s achievements in the fields of science, technology and medicine rely on an independent, open, egalitarian higher education system. Harming the system&#8217;s independence and its values is not only an attack on academia.
