Snow shared that many of her go-to books \u2014 primarily nonfiction titles, autobiographies and self-help books \u2014 have propelled her through hard moments in her life, including her divorce and her father&#8217;s Alzheimer&#8217;s diagnosis.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Primarily, Snow reads nonfiction which\u00a0she said makes her feel productive and fulfilled, because she&#8217;s learning every time she picks up a book. &#8220;I feel like I&#8217;m utilizing my time a little bit more [with nonfiction],&#8221; Snow said, &#8220;even though that it completely nonsensical.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> One of Snow&#8217;s tried-and-true favorites, <a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/a\/114093\/9781668082461\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow noskim noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Are You Mad at Me? <\/a> by Meg Josephson, helped heal her inner child and unlearn some habits from her youth, she said. The book claims to be a &#8220;cure for chronic people-pleasing&#8221; and addresses the lesser-known &#8220;fawning&#8221; instinct.\n<\/p>\n<p> Are You Mad at Me?.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Snow connected with Josephson&#8217;s book because of their similar backgrounds: like the author, Snow&#8217;s family has dealt with alcoholism and Alzheimer&#8217;s, which ultimately pushed her to be a &#8220;chameleon person.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> \u201cMy favorite part of this book \u2014 and I think I underlined it \u2014 is when you become successful or a big thing happens in your career, most perfectionists and most people who have parents like this don\u2019t feel proud of themselves,&#8221; Snow said. &#8220;They feel relief. I feel like this one really spoke to me because it\u2019s not prescriptive. Untamed helped remind Snow that there&#8217;s no love without loss, and vice versa.\n<\/p>\n<p> Untamed.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_38-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;Personally \u2014 and this isn\u2019t for everyone \u2014 I would choose having the love and then the heartbreak because I love feeling everything. I just love being in love,&#8221; Snow said. &#8220;And so I would do it again. I would always choose it.
