Lupita Nyong\u2019o\u2019s deserves double the attention for her The Odyssey press tour looks<\/a>. In part because she\u2019s co-starring with a dual role, serving as both Helen of Troy and Helen’s sister, Clytemnestra. Additionally, she\u2019s proven to be the face that stole 1,000 hearts with her press tour style leading up to the film, which officially released last week.<\/p>\n

For the Epic\u2019s world premiere in London, for example, she arrived in a crystal Christian Cowan gown\u2014styled by Micaela Erlanger<\/a>\u2014with deep-cut sides that revealed her shape. With the look, hairstylist Vernon Fran\u00e7ois<\/a> gave her afro a cone-like shape paired with black cherry lips (Lisa Eldridge\u2019s Rouge Experience Lipstick in Bohemian Cherry<\/a>, to be exact) via makeup artist Nick Barose<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then, the day after, she attended the Chanel Couture show<\/a> in Paris, and wore a red-beaded Chanel gown to the city\u2019s premiere which matched her lipstick and manicure. Meanwhile, her hair embodied the gown\u2019s open texture, styled in what Fran\u00e7ois called a \u201cloop ‘fro.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

But, it was her New York look that left him emotional.\u00a0\u201cSeeing Lupita on the red carpet this evening wearing her Afro kinky oily hair filled me with an emotion that\u2019s difficult to describe,\u201d Francois wrote in an Instagram post. \u201cI felt proud, humbled, and if I\u2019m honest, tearful.\u201d To achieve the look, he used Olaplex\u2019s No. 0.5 Scalp Longevity Treatment<\/a>, No. 8 Intense Moisture Mask<\/a>, and a hair oil.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As for her makeup, Barose used the I-Envy Cluster Palette<\/a> and wispy lashes for a custom lash look. \u201cIt\u2019s long but also the feathery spaces in between the lashes make it look soft, seductive and feminine,\u201d he said. It\u2019s a style Nyong\u2019o embodies effortlessly on red carpets. And now, with the film out, in theaters all over the world.<\/p>\n
