STEP UP GALLERY NEWS RELEASE<\/p>\n

The current art exhibit in Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library celebrating the centennial of Route 66 closes at 8 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cOde to the Mother Road: Route 66 Centennial Art Exhibit\u201d has drawn many visitors over the last month. Plein air paintings by well-known New Mexican artists, fabric quilts, and additional mixed media pieces, all designed to honor the Mother Road, fill the gallery walls.<\/p>\n

Many works of art can be purchased during the show by contacting the artist directly.<\/p>\n

The next exhibit in the gallery is the \u201cLos Alamos County Fair and Rodeo Indoor Show\u201d 3-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.<\/p>\n

Step Up Gallery (https:\/\/stepupgallery.org<\/a>) is on the top level of Mesa Public Library at 2400 Central Ave. The gallery is open the same hours as the library: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
