\n\tSkims<\/a>, the intimates apparel brand, and Vettese, the emerging luxury fashion house, have partnered on a limited-edition ready-to-wear collaboration. The collection blends Vettese\u2019s sculptural approach to design with Skims<\/a>\u2019 second-skin fabrics. <\/p>\n

\n\tRepresenting Skims\u2019 first partnership with an emerging designer, the collection features seven elevated ready-to-wear essentials that balance structure and softness. <\/p>\n

\n\tFeatured in the capsule are convertibe tops, draped skirts and curve-enhancing dresses that merge Vettese\u2019s craftsmanship with Skims\u2019 signature fabrics.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe capsule is offered in Skims\u2019 ecru, cocoa and onyx colorways, and each piece is crafted with versatility in mind, designed to transition from day to night.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cKari [Vettese] has such a unique approach to design, and I\u2019ve always admired the ways she creates pieces that feel sculptural while remaining effortless to wear,\u201d said Kim Kardashian<\/a>, cofounder and chief creative officer of Skims. \u201cBringing Vettese together with Skims felt like a natural fit. We loved the opportunity to combine our two perspectives and create something that feels fresh while staying true to both brands.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSkims was cofounded in 2019 by Kardashian and Jens Grede and has carved out a strong niche in women\u2019s underwear, loungewear and shapewear. Last November, the company completed a $225 million capital raise that valued it at $5 billion. Skims Beauty is on deck and is a highly anticipated cosmetics and fragrance line.<\/p>\n

\n\tVettese was founded in November 2022 by Kari Vettese, a first generation Italian American designer based in Los Angeles. Designed and produced entirely in-house, Vettese\u2019s collections are committed to craftsmanship, innovation and independent ownership. She showed on the CFDA Fashion Calendar during New York Fashion Week for the first time in February 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cVettese was built on the belief that exceptional craftsmanship and independent creativity define the future of luxury, while Skims has become one of the most influential cultural brands of our generation,\u201d Vettese said. \u201cThis collection brings those worlds together through Vettese\u2019s orignal interconnected design philosophy, where each garment is conceived as part of a larger dialogue \u2014 designed to connect, transform and be styled in multiple ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collection launches Wednesday at 9 a.m. PST exclusively on skims.com and at Skims\u2019 New York and Los Angeles flagships.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrices range from $64 to $148, and the sizes go from XXS to 4XL.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe styles are based on Vettese Body and Tube pieces, which is part of the company\u2019s core design language. Vettese\u2019s signature collection features the idea of wrapping oneself in luxurious cloth, with many possible ways to wrap and wear. This idea was incorporated into the Skims capsule. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn discussing how the two companies got together, Vettese told WWD that Skims emailed two years ago about doing a collaboration. \u201cWe accepted and we were really excited,\u201d she said. Vettese said her brand focuses on ready-to-wear and runway. She called the collaborative collection \u201can elevated take on everyday wear, with our signature wrapping and tubing pieces that we\u2019ve been doing since the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe said she worked with the Skims team in the latter\u2019s offices and it was a collaborative process over the last few years. <\/p>\n

\n\tAsked how it differs from what Skims offers, Vettese said, \u201cIt gives the elevated high fashion approach to what they\u2019re offering. It gives more convertibility. I like to include that in my designs a lot. You can wear literally everything the wrong way and so many different ways. We show that in the collection. There are so many different ways to wear it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe capsule is a limited-edition collection for one season only.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am excited because it\u2019s been so long in the making. I\u2019m excited for people to finally be able to wear and enjoy it,\u201d Vettese said.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe capsule is using the Skims Modal fabric, which the brand uses for its basics line. \u201cThat\u2019s what we used across the entire collection,\u201d Vettese said. She said a few pieces have detachable buttons that will attach to the top so you can interchange them in and out and make a dress with them or wear them separately.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI really did enjoy the process and I thank them for being so trusting with my vision; it was an incredible process,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tVettese said she plans to show in September during New York Fashion Week, although she\u2019s not on the CFDA Fashion Calendar yet, but plans to be.
