An Ohio-based advisory duo with about $2 billion in client assets is joining LPL Financial from Fifth Third Private Bank, the independent broker\/dealer announced today.<\/p>\n

Breanne Bovara and Derrick Petry are launching Moto Wealth Partners within Linsco, LPL Financial\u2019s W-2 advisor affiliation model. The duo works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families from offices in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio.<\/p>\n

According to SEC and FINRA records, Bovara registered with Fifth Third in 2017, while LinkedIn indicates Petry joined Fifth Third in 1999 and eventually reached the position of vice president, senior portfolio manager.<\/p>\n

According to Bovara, the team supports clients \u201cthrough periods of change, emotional challenges and complex decisions\u2014whether related to business transactions, inheritance, divorce, career transitions and more.\u201d Bovara said the team wanted independence and fiduciary flexibility when looking for a new home.<\/p>\n

\u201cLPL provides the operational freedom and sophisticated tools we need to elevate the client experience,\u201d she said. \u201cTheir platform gives us access to cutting-edge technology, integrated planning resources and a robust client engagement ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, LPL and Wealth.com<\/a> announced a strategic relationship<\/a>, making the estate planning platform available to all of LPL\u2019s advisors and wealth teams (as well as a direct integration allowing LPL\u2019s Advanced Planning Team to access Wealth.com<\/a>\u2019s Family Office suite for complex estate planning challenges).<\/p>\n

LPL is continuing to work through its acquisition of Commonwealth, the Waltham, Mass.-based IBD with 3,500 advisors and $305 billion in assets under management. LPL closed on the deal last August and intended to retain 90% of advisors in the transition.<\/p>\n

As of last year\u2019s third quarter, LPL CEO Rich Steinmeier said LPL had retained Commonwealth advisors representing nearly 80% of the firm\u2019s assets.<\/p>\n
