An eclectic bachelor party has assembled for an unforgettable 72 Hours<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the comedy \u2014 which is now streaming on Netflix \u2014 Hart stars as Joe, a 40-year-old executive hoping to save his job by joining a group of Gen Zers for a three-day bachelor party in Miami after he\u2019s accidentally added to their group chat<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cKevin [and] the crew \u2014 Marcello [Hern\u00e1ndez], Mason [Gooding], Ben [Marshall], and Kam [Patterson] \u2014 are a dynamic team that you just cannot miss,\u201d says director Tim Story (Barbershop, Think Like a Man, Ride Along).\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty to look forward to during the gang\u2019s outlandish weekend, including a sunny yacht party, a party bus ride along South Beach, and an abundance of comedic jabs aimed at Hart\u2019s character. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c72 Hours is, in many ways, the story of Kevin Hart realizing he\u2019s old now,\u201d Marshall jokes. Hern\u00e1ndez takes the joke one step further, saying, \u201c[It\u2019s] Kevin Hart trying to fit in with the young guys, which is very real in his personal life from what I have read.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the cast is quick to poke fun at Hart<\/a>, Gooding says the film ultimately comes back to \u201cthat cultural exchange that takes place when interacting with different generations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meet Mason, the groom-to-be. Sensible and grounded, he\u2019s the guy who\u2019s always checking in on his friends, offering sound advice, and genuinely excited to be a husband. Before he walks down the aisle, though, he must survive a bachelor party gone awry in Miami.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That dependable nature is exactly what drew Gooding to the role. \u201cMason is the emotional bedrock of his friend group,\u201d says Gooding. \u201c[He] hopes for the best for everyone he surrounds himself with.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Gooding, working alongside a group of comedians made his on-set experience quite memorable.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI was able to enjoy a stand-up routine pretty much every time I stepped on set,\u201d he shares. \u201cThat\u2019s both in watching incredibly talented comedians navigate hilarious circumstances in an authentically hilarious way, and being treated to some of the funniest green-room banter I\u2019ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.\u201d<\/p>\n

About the Character<\/p>\n

In 72 Hours, Nick is Mason\u2019s childhood best friend and, as Hern\u00e1ndez puts it, the \u201cworst best man.\u201d Although he\u2019s excited for his buddy \u2014\u00a0he even organized their bachelor weekend \u2014\u00a0Nick is terrified of losing his lifelong friend to marriage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez was eager to work with Kevin Hart, calling it an exciting opportunity. \u201cI\u2019m grateful I got to watch him work,\u201d he says. \u201cI learned a lot from him over the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez also lauds his experience with director Tim Story. \u201cTim is such a nice guy. He has a lot of experience, and a great rapport with Kevin, so it was cool to watch them work together and see how their relationship has flourished,\u201d Hern\u00e1ndez says. \u201cHe was also open and available to the cast, always. He\u2019s a great guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Working alongside his Saturday Night Live colleagues Ben Marshall and Kam Patterson was an added bonus, Hern\u00e1ndez says. \u201c[It was] like summer camp with friends from school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marshall is no stranger to comedy. A current SNL cast member, Marshall first joined the show in 2021 alongside his Please Don\u2019t Destroy collaborators John Higgins and Martin Herlihy before becoming a full-time cast member in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n
