In Season 4, the trial marriages<\/a> crossed boundaries, and jealousy crept into nearly every pairing. For two couples in particular, it built to a breaking point, and a late-night confrontation that has since been nicknamed \u201cFight Night.\u201d Not every relationship made it to the end of the experiment, as Jebin\u2019s missteps ended up costing Alex her spot. But for the others, the chaos of the process turned into something more constructive: real growth, on camera and off.<\/p>\n

So who actually got engaged in the finale? Who\u2019s still together a year later? And what\u2019s happened since the reunion? Here\u2019s where everyone stands now \u2014 including one wedding.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Nick Lachey, the two are now legally married. Wait, let\u2019s back up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After getting engaged, the new fianc\u00e9s went home to celebrate with their families. Casey\u2019s dad had been patiently waiting for the news \u2014\u00a0\u201c\u2018Finally!\u201d was his immediate response, according to Casey \u2014\u00a0and was thrilled his daughter could finally replace her many promise rings with one big diamond. David\u2019s mom was so moved by his personal growth that she told him, \u201cYou made me believe in love again.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

David tells Tudum that he emerged from the experiment with greater self-awareness and \u201ca much deeper appreciation for what it truly takes to build and sustain a powerful connection.\u201d He realized sharing his inner world with his partner \u201cisn\u2019t a burden, it\u2019s a bridge\u201d that only brings them closer. Learning that lesson in his trial marriage made his relationship with Casey feel even more secure and authentic. The experience also taught them how to fight with each other. \u201cHow we argued was really unproductive,\u201d Casey admits at the reunion. Now, they lead with communication and respect.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The lovebirds have a big wedding planned along the Amalfi Coast in September, but legally they had to marry in the United States first. On the way to the reunion, the couple picked up a marriage license and asked Nick \u2014\u00a0already ordained\u00a0\u2014 to marry them right there.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All is right in the world: Luke still thinks Monica walks on water. \u201cI\u2019ve always believed she\u2019s the girl for me,\u201d Luke says. \u201cI\u2019ve been so excited for her to be my wife for so long. But I\u2019m now in a place where I\u2019m excited to be her husband, and everything that comes with it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The two have spent the past year chasing success and adventure. \u201cWe\u2019ve traveled together more than we\u2019ve ever done,\u201d Monica shares at the reunion. \u201cIt\u2019s been our best year yet.\u201d To top it off, Luke reproposed on their fifth anniversary \u2014\u00a0just the two of them and hundreds of rose petals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a tense moment at the reunion, Luke shares that he felt David went too far with his flirting with Monica in their trial marriage. \u201cIn the moment, I laughed it off because that\u2019s how I avoid conflict, but I\u2019m not laughing today,\u201d he says. David apologized, and the two happy couples quickly reconciled. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The experiment brought out a new level of confidence in Luke. \u201cI had an insecurity about this woman I love, so I sent her off to date the rest of you to confirm that she does like me,\u201d he says to the men. \u201cShe still chooses me at the end of this.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

This self-assurance has followed him into this career as well. He\u2019s been promoted from server to restaurant manager, and also received certification to apply to become a lineman. \u201cI no longer just have a plan A, I also have a plan B and a plan C,\u201d Luke says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Blake and Hayley broke up four months after their engagement. Looking back, Blake describes the proposal itself as a coin flip. \u201cThat proposal, I was 60-40. I didn\u2019t know totally if I was going to propose,\u201d he shares at the reunion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He says his competitive nature pushed him to try to meet every one of Hayley\u2019s needs until he became exhausted. \u201cIt was a hard realization that we might just have a compatibility issue if she couldn\u2019t meet me in the middle or try to understand my perspective,\u201d he tells Tudum.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite it all, Blake doesn\u2019t regret issuing the ultimatum. \u201cI definitely feel like it was the right call,\u201d he says. \u201cI think Hayley and I would have been dating for years more and not gotten the answers that we needed that the experience gave us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two had the opportunity to sit down and talk for a few hours in the hotel lobby after the reunion. \u201cWe still disagree on certain parts of how our relationship ended, but I\u2019ll always have a lot of love for Hayley,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019m really happy we were able to reconnect after a long time apart.\u201d<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

By the time Hayley and Blake sat across from each other at the reunion, they hadn\u2019t spoken in eight months. And by her account, it was far from a reconciliation. \u201cThere\u2019s so much more context to the things he was saying that I didn\u2019t get to speak about [at the reunion],\u201d she tells Tudum. \u201cI know my truth, and I have proof.\u201d<\/p>\n

For starters, Hayley says she signed the affidavit as a favor to protect Blake\u2019s public image, allegedly at his request. The reunion also revisited a painful moment post-breakup, when Hayley poured a drink on Blake\u2019s head after finding him buying two women shots at the bar.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe also lied [at the reunion] about me punching him in the face,\u201d she says. \u201cYou\u2019re a psychopath if you have to lie to make yourself look good.\u201d Hayley claims Blake apologized privately after the reunion, but that didn\u2019t undo the public accusations: \u201cYou smear me publicly, you apologize to me privately,\u201d she says. \u201cThat doesn\u2019t sit well with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The unexpected bright spot from the entire experience is a friendship she didn\u2019t see coming. \u201cThe Ashley I experienced on the show was not the same Ashley I know now,\u201d she says. \u201cShe\u2019s selfless, selfless, selfless \u2014 such a selfless human being.\u201d And then there\u2019s Casey. The new best friends talk on the phone every day. \u201cIf anything good came out of it, it was Casey,\u201d she says. \u201cYou can just tell when someone\u2019s super genuine. And I\u2019m not going to let that go.\u201d<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Killian says there wasn\u2019t a single reason his relationship with Ashley ended. It was more of an accumulation of jealousy and miscommunication. He points to one specific example: He was holding a door open for Ashley while juggling grocery bags, let it go a beat too early, and was hit with, \u201cOh, I bet you\u2019d hold the door for Hayley.\u201d<\/p>\n

Or, he would make a comment about Ashley and Blake, and they wouldn\u2019t talk to each other for a day. \u201cAshley\u2019s not too great at communication, so we would just sit there and not speak,\u201d he tells Tudum. \u201cWe weren\u2019t putting enough time into the actual person we were living with. We were just butting heads.\u201d<\/p>\n

He and Ashley have created some space since the breakup. \u201cI still think we\u2019re on good terms at the moment, but she and I both kind of set a boundary with each other,\u201d he says. \u201cIt\u2019s tough to stay speaking with one of your exes and lose feelings and move forward if you\u2019re just still in communication.\u201d<\/p>\n

He says his behavior in the experiment was uncharacteristic. \u201cThat Killian on the show was just devastating and unreal,\u201d he says, watching it back. \u201cIt\u2019s embarrassing, honestly, the person I was. I\u2019m a pretty calm and mature person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Killian credits his trial marriage with Hayley<\/a> with helping him to absorb feedback. The same feedback Ashley had been giving him all along, just delivered differently. \u201cWhen you hear it twice from two different people … you\u2019re like, okay, that could be me,\u201d he says. Killian has spent the months since the experiment largely on his own. \u201cI read, I cook, clean, I work out. I try to treat people as well as possible,\u201d he says. \u201cI would\u2019ve loved everyone to see the person I am now instead of that person.\u201d<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ashley called off her engagement to Killian roughly two months after the proposal. Walking away was the hardest choice Ashley has ever made, but it was also the healthiest \u2014\u00a0ending a \u201cconstant cycle\u201d she\u2019d been trying to break for years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the reunion, she alleges a pattern that went well beyond jealousy, including an incident in which Killian broke her phone and her parents had to fly down, and claims he was still \u201crage texting\u201d her as recently as two months before the reunion. \u201cEmpty promises, lies, excuses, and repeated patterns that never truly changed,\u201d she tells Tudum. \u201cMy biggest mistake was continuing to accept it because I loved him.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ashley\u2019s trial marriage with Blake opened her eyes to what she was missing in her relationship with Killian. \u201cSometimes when you\u2019re deeply in love, you can become blind to things that seem so obvious from the outside,\u201d she says. \u201c[The trial marriage] gave me the confidence to stand on my own two feet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Ashley is done with falling in love with potential. \u201cThis experience and the people I shared it with taught me how to stand up for myself and what I deserve,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m excited to move forward with a much clearer understanding of what I bring to a relationship.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Edris surprised everyone when he proposed to Jessica Grace during the change ceremony after he got up to leave, only to return with a ring. But Edris claims it wasn\u2019t an impulsive decision.<\/p>\n

Despite his fear and uncertainty, the choice to propose was \u201crooted in love\u201d and a desire to protect their relationship. \u201cI knew I wasn\u2019t going to leave the experience without my best friend,\u201d Edris tells Tudum.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When the two got home, they started couples counseling, but the relationship ultimately came apart over unresolved trust issues. \u201cWe had fallen into a cycle where we were both hurting each other,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t wait too long to shoot his shot with a different Ultimatum Giver. At the reunion, Jessica Grace accuses him of developing a \u201csexual attraction\u201d to Alex even as he criticized her for being \u201ctoo friendly\u201d with other men. Edris confirms he texted Alex while working through things with Jessica Grace (\u201cYeah, I hit on her\u201d), though he maintains he did nothing he considers inappropriate.<\/p>\n

Now, the two are no longer in contact. \u201cI genuinely wish her the best,\u201d he says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"AJessica Grace\u00a0<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSurreal\u201d is how Jessica Grace describes Edris\u2019s proposal. \u201cAt that moment, there was so much tension that I thought Edris was completely walking off the set out of frustration,\u201d she tells Tudum. The prior week of dating had been emotionally draining, and while she was elated to be engaged, she didn\u2019t know it would mean heading home early.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have liked to have completed the experience fully because I think I would have enjoyed the lessons that it manifested for so many of the couples who have completed their trial marriages throughout the show\u2019s history,\u201d Jessica Grace says. Perhaps it could have saved them from what came next.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As Jessica Grace describes it at the reunion, the happy nuptials she hoped for never came: \u201cAs soon as the cameras were off, he didn\u2019t touch me, he didn\u2019t kiss me, we didn\u2019t speak until the next day. I felt like that should\u2019ve been a moment of celebration … and it wasn\u2019t that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, she describes her relationship with Edris as \u201cstrained at best.\u201d She says she was shocked by how heated it got between them at the reunion. \u201cYou don\u2019t have that level of intensity if there\u2019s nothing to resolve,\u201d she says. \u201cSo maybe there will be a chance to make amends down the line. Who knows?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jebin\u2019s time in the experiment was brief but notable. Before being asked to leave, Jebin says he was surprised by how the room reacted to his confiscated note to Alex, especially given that \u2014 in his view \u2014 other couples were working through similar feelings of jealousy, just not on paper. \u201cIn the moment, it was like I shot somebody,\u201d he tells Tudum.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was initially concerned he\u2019d be \u201cpainted as the villain.\u201d His fear was assuaged when he watched it back. \u201cYeah, I was really just having a good time, being funny and goofy,\u201d he says. \u201cI don\u2019t know why I thought I would end up being portrayed as this bad guy. At the end of the day, I felt my true personality was shown.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

But his thoughts weren\u2019t contained to just one note. According to Jebin, he wrote a second note immediately after giving the first to Alex, intending to deliver it at the choice ceremony. He didn\u2019t get the chance. \u201cIf you thought the first one was bad, I felt like the second one was way worse,\u201d he says with a laugh.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite the harsh words, the two remained on good terms immediately following their exit. \u201cWe recorded a video of us dancing and having a good time right after we got kicked off,\u201d he says, adding that they stayed together for a few months before things \u201cunraveled\u201d over different expectations for the relationship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, he\u2019s looking for a partner who can juggle caretaking responsibilities like cooking healthy meals while maintaining a gym habit. \u201cAlex is a great caretaker too, but I think it\u2019s a little bit harder for her because she works a job,\u201d he says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Looking back, Jebin says he doesn\u2019t regret writing either note. In fact, he believes getting kicked off was the best thing that could\u2019ve happened to him \u2014\u00a0and led him to make bold changes, like relocating to Puerto Rico. \u201cI really believe if I had stayed in the experience, I would\u2019ve gotten married at the end,\u201d he says. \u201cI think it was like a fork in the road … but I\u2019m glad the way that it went.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

STATUS: SINGLE \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alex and Jebin came into the experiment as one of the show\u2019s longest-tenured couples \u2014 together for six years by the time filming wrapped \u2014 and left it in one of the most abrupt ways possible: They were kicked off after Jebin passed her a note.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first received it, I thought that it was going to be a whole love letter, and I was looking forward to reading it,\u201d she tells Tudum. Once she began reading it out loud, her first concern was for Jebin. \u201cI felt embarrassed for me, but also him, too.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She confirms she read the second note \u2014 the one Jebin never got to pass on camera \u2014 once the two were back at the hotel after being sent home, and says it echoed the first. Still, she doesn\u2019t agree with those who claim Jebin was verbally abusive. \u201cHe was just very insecure,\u201d she says. \u201cHe overthinks a lot about my past relationships, because he\u2019s never had a relationship before me. So he goes insane mentally. And I was used to it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alex says the relationship didn\u2019t actually end because of either note. \u201cWe got over it that night that we got kicked off,\u201d she says. They returned home to new arguments, this time over Jebin\u2019s expectations around finance and fitness. \u201cI tried my best, but he still wasn\u2019t happy,\u201d she says. Two weeks after she ended things, Jebin decided to move to Puerto Rico. \u201cI was hoping that I was going to get married to him,\u201d she says. \u201cIt just sucked that it didn\u2019t happen.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Addressing her role in the fallout between Jessica Grace and Edris, Alex says it caught her completely off guard. \u201cWhen he reached out to me after the show, I was just confused, and it rubbed me the wrong way,\u201d she says. Nothing about their brief time dating on the show gave her the impression he was interested in her.
