Mick Jagger’s Rolling Stones bandmates past and present have wished him a happy 83rd birthday.<\/p>\n
The singer\u2019s birthday on Sunday comes just weeks after the band released their latest studio album, Foreign Tongues, on July 10.<\/p>\n
Guitarist Ronnie Wood, 79, wished Jagger “happy birthday” in a post on his Instagram story, where he posted a picture of one of his paintings of the Brown Sugar singer.<\/p>\n
Fellow guitarist Keith Richards posted a black-and-white image of the pair accompanied with the caption: “Wishing Mick a happy birthday! One love, Keith.”<\/p>\n

Former Stones bassist Bill Wyman, 89, who left the band in the early 1990s having been a founding member, said in a post on social media: “Happy 83rd Birthday. I\u2019ve been there, it ain\u2019t that bad. Wishing you many more. Love Bill.”<\/p>\n
Wyman made a guest return to the band on 2023\u2019s Hackney Diamonds album, where he played bass on Live By The Sword.<\/p>\n
Jagger\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, posted: “Happy birthday my love, to more adventures, laughs and fun.”<\/p>\n
A post on the Stones\u2019 official Instagram account read: “Happy Birthday, Mick.<\/p>\n
“You continue to inspire generations with your energy, creativity and unmistakable spirit \u2013 there is no one quite like you. Wishing you an amazing day.”<\/p>\n
The post was accompanied by several pictures of the singer through the years.<\/p>\n
Singer-songwriter Lisa Fischer, who has regularly toured with the band since 1989, commented on the post: “Here, here, Mick is da man. Beautiful post, happy blessed birthday Mick.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Rolling Stones <\/p>\n
The Rolling Stones\u2019 latest album features guest appearances from former Beatles bass player Paul McCartney, The Cure\u2019s Robert Smith and former Spencer Davis Group and Traffic musician Steve Winwood.<\/p>\n
Widely regarded as one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, The Rolling Stones\u2019 best known songs include (I Can\u2019t Get No) Satisfaction, Start Me Up and Jumpin\u2019 Jack Flash.<\/p>\n
The Stones\u2019 line-up on their first album included Jagger, guitarist Richards, bassist Wyman, drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021, and guitarist Brian Jones, who died in 1969.<\/p>\n
Jones was succeeded on guitar by Mick Taylor for a classic run of critically acclaimed albums, which included Let It Bleed (1969), Sticky Fingers (1971) and Exile On Main Street (1972), before former Faces guitarist Wood joined the band in 1975.<\/p>\n
