Last week we shared footage of a tourist trapped in a public restroom<\/a> by a giant bison in Yellowstone National Park. The man is shown peeking from the doorway as the bison grazes just outside \u2013 not the type of attention anyone craves.<\/p>\n

This week Tropical Africa shared footage showing a lion essentially trapping guests inside a lodging unit while resting downstairs alongside the safari vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you want to go on a game drive, but a lion is napping in the shade of your car,\u201d Tropical Africa described via Instagram<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The site is Urikaruus, a wilderness camp in South Africa\u2019s Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park<\/a>, famous for sightings of black-maned lions.<\/p>\n

“In Africa, the best camps aren\u2019t fenced,” Tropical Africa continued. \u201cThat\u2019s the whole point, it\u2019s what lets moments like this happen. So [the tourist] waited. You don\u2019t argue with a lion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The footage is brief and does not mention how long the standoff lasted. But it reveals the lion\u2019s curious, non-aggressive nature while gazing up at the person documenting the encounter.<\/p>\n
