When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win\u201d, the star said on X, adding: \u201cI will release it!\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejc.com\/news\/uk\/boy-george-out-jesus-christ-superstar-pro-israel-song-gw5py5fn\" data-tracking-context=\"In article link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the musician withdrew<\/a> from a guest role as King Herod in West End musical Jesus Christ Superstar.<\/p>\n<p>He also rejected criticism from pro-Palestine activists that he was a \u201cgenocide denier\u201d and hit back at criticism of the song.<\/p>\n<p>He said in a statement on Instagram: \u201cThe suggestion that I feel no compassion for Palestinian\u2019s is both untrue and absurd. I am devastated for the loss of the innocent lives on both sides of this war and I call for peace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have read members of the press calling me a \u2018genocide denier\u2019 yet those who deny the suffering of Israelis are given a free pass.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tony Pontius has been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u201cIn Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence.
