{"id":572259,"date":"2026-08-02T20:08:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-02T20:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/572259\/"},"modified":"2026-08-02T20:08:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-02T20:08:11","slug":"palestinian-islamic-jihad-agrees-to-disarm-as-part-of-gaza-disarmament-deal-saudi-media-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/572259\/","title":{"rendered":"Palestinian Islamic Jihad agrees to disarm as part of Gaza disarmament deal, Saudi media reports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Palestinian Islamic Jihad has agreed to the disarmament deal set forth by US President Donald Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/article-904192\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Board of Peace<\/a>, the Saudi state-owned Al Hadath reported on Sunday afternoon, citing a source familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n<p>The deal, announced by Trump on Thursday night, includes the complete disarmament of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/hamas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hamas<\/a> and all other armed groups in the Gaza Strip, which would then lead to an IDF withdrawal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Following the withdrawal, the International Stabilization Force will begin reconstruction in cooperation with new civil forces. Israel has criticized the agreement, saying that its implementation hinges on disarming Hamas as a precondition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Late Saturday night, however, a Palestinian source told Israeli public broadcaster KAN News that \u201cHamas will not disarm.
