Marcus admits he was conflicted over what he wanted to wear on his wedding day. \u201cI kept going back and forth between a baggier, more hip silhouette, or a classic suit,\u201d says the groom. \u201cI ended up going with a classic wool suit from J. Mueser<\/a>, but went with chocolate brown for the color.\u201d He adds, \u201cI thought that way I was doing something a little different, but could still feel like James Bond.\u201d He accessorized with a Givenchy<\/a> derby shoes\u2014\u201cI just love a clean black dress shoe\u201d\u2014and an Oyster Steel Rolex from his friend Devin. \u201cIt takes a village,\u201d Marcus says. \u201cSpeaking of the village, I gotta shout out my barber Stacey Kutz<\/a> and makeup artist Amber<\/a> for making me look pristine.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s wedding party all chose looks they loved for their attire without an assigned palette. Funny enough, all the groomsmen ended up in the same color. \u201cIt was completely unplanned but we all ended up matching in brown suits,\u201d says Marcus. Even the ring bearers coordinated in the shade.<\/p>\n

The couple opted out of hosting a rehearsal dinner. Instead, they spent the night together at the Chateau Marmont<\/a> to prepare for the big day ahead. \u201cHaving our alone time to look back on the last eight years\u2014how much we\u2019ve grown together and as individuals and what more is on the horizon as we were about to leap into our newest chapter\u2014was so special,\u201d says Gracie. \u201cSharing vows in bed was my favorite, most intimate part of the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The bride and groom loved beginning their wedding day with a ketubah signing. \u201cIt was so special to have all of our immediate family and best friends in one spot before the craziness began,\u201d says Gracie. Guests then all gathered at R\u00e9publique for the ceremony, which was conducted by Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen as a nod to Gracie\u2019s heritage. The groom walked out to a violin playing \u201cFrom the Start\u201d by Laufey and greeted his guests down the aisle. When Gracie went down the aisle to \u201cVideo Games\u201d by Lana Del Rey, Marcus says, \u201cThe world stopped. My heart was in my throat. While my entrance was chaotic, it felt like she soothed the room.\u201d Gracie remembers, \u201cBecause we were all experiencing the ceremony for the first time, I got a little excited at one point that felt climactic, and went in for a premature kiss. I caught myself.\u201d Says Marcus, \u201cEveryone says not to put so much pressure on the day being perfect, but it truly was the best day of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

After saying \u201cI do,\u201d the newlyweds ran upstairs together to soak up the excitement, drink a glass of wine, and take some photos. \u201cIt was the first time it got to be just us. We were geeking,\u201d says Marcus. \u201cProbably my favorite part of the night was those transition periods.\u201d Meanwhile, cocktail hour began, and guests mixed and mingled. \u201cI was told there were amazing passed apps and art from the artist who did our invite, Pholks and Phaces<\/a>,\u201d shares the groom. Specialty cocktails were also served. \u201cThe snap pea was basically a spiked green juice,\u201d says the bride. \u201cHow very LA of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
