Coronation Street actors have been spotted filming scenes for Sarah Platt\u2019s upcoming murder trial, as she faces a long sentence in prison for the murder of Theo Silverton.<\/p>\n

As the climax of a flashforward mystery that then became a tense whodunnit, it was eventually revealed that it was none other than Sarah who claimed the life of abuser Theo<\/a>. After a confrontation on the scaffolding, Sarah hit Theo with a metal bar and he fell to his death.<\/p>\n

With the help of Gary, who she called shortly after these fateful events, Sarah covered up her crime for weeks. However, she was eventually implicated in Theo\u2019s death and shortly after she confessed to his murder<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While Sarah is currently in prison, her heartbroken partner Kit \u2013 who was also the copper attempting to crack the case \u2013 is now determined to lessen her sentence by proving that Gary was also involved<\/a> in the crime.<\/p>\n

How the next few weeks will play out is yet to be revealed, but it has now been confirmed that there will be a trial surrounding Theo\u2019s murder which will ultimately decide Sarah\u2019s fate.<\/p>\n

New photos have been obtained of the cast filming the all-important trial at Bolton Crown Court \u2013 including soap favourite Tina O\u2019Brien, who plays currently incarcerated Sarah.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll still be a while until we see these big scenes on screen though, and for now Sarah remains in prison \u2013 and she is having a tough time behind bars.<\/p>\n

In next week\u2019s episodes, poor Sarah is targeted by some fellow inmates<\/a> and violently attacked. When Bethany later visits her mum, she is shocked to see her in a bad state, despite Sarah trying her best to play down her prison experience.<\/p>\n

Sarah then makes the shocking decision to end her relationship with Kit, desperate to protect her partner\u2019s career and keen to set him free to move on without her.<\/p>\n

Having resigned herself to a life in jail, Sarah is befriended by fellow inmate Kacey, who promises to protect her \u2013 but it may be a mistake for her to trust her new mate.<\/p>\n

However, could Sarah\u2019s nightmare be over sooner than she thinks if the upcoming trial goes her way?<\/p>\n
