In another plaque, it referenced the Second Intifada as a \u201cPalestinian uprising\u201d with no mention of the over 1,000 Israelis murdered.<\/p>\n
The content of the exhibit promoted B\u2019nai Brith to carry out an in-depth review of the contents of the exhibit and the individuals CMHR says it consulted as advisors in developing its contents.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For example, figures associated with the Canadian Palestinian Association of Manitoba<\/a> (CPAM) appear to have been involved with shaping the exhibit. These individuals include Rana Abdulla and Ramsey Zeid.<\/p>\n Abdulla provided content to the exhibit and is referenced several times on its website. Zeid is CPAM\u2019s president. CPAM stated on its social media that it was \u201chonored to contribute [to the CMHR exhibit] through the Palestinian Content Advisory Network [PCAN].\u201d<\/p>\n Since Oct. 7, 2023, Zeid and CPAM have authored or circulated content that B\u2019nai Brith argues constitutes antisemitism or celebrates violence.<\/p>\n For example, on October 17, 2024, Zeid posted to his Instagram story a reel which said: \u201cPalestinians had the right to do what they did on Oct. 7.\u201d<\/p>\n In May 2024, CPAM posted to its story content saying \u201cstop condemning October 7.\u201d<\/p>\n CPAM notably also parroted Hamas propaganda about Israeli hostages being well looked after, writing that they \u201calmost seemed as though they were returning from a vacation rather than captivity.\u201d<\/p>\n As B\u2019nai Brith noted, this \u201cminimizes Hamas\u2019 abduction of Israeli civilians, sanitizing Hamas\u2019 well-documented violence and abuse against innocent civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe language CPAM uses when contrasting the experience of Israeli and Palestinian prisoners reflects a clear double standard and inherent bias,\u201d it said, and added that this is especially concerning given CPAM leadership\u2019s participation in PCAN and resulting influence over the CMHR\u2019s Nakba exhibit.\u201d<\/p>\n CPAM also posted a graphic on April 22, 2024, which read \u201cIsraeli forces skinned dead Palestinians and stole their organs before burying them in mass graves in Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n
