Robbie Williams<\/a> has shared that he\u2019s been diagnosed with autism.<\/p>\n

The solo pop star and former Take That<\/a> member, who has previously opened up about having ADHD, spoke about learning that he is autistic during a recent Q&A session in London.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have ADHD, and I just found out I have a bit of autism as well, which I actually fucking love because it explains so much,\u201d he said (via Metro<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is my get-out-of-jail-free card now, and all the weird shit that I do I just say, \u2018Sorry, I\u2019m autistic\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams continued: \u201cWith the ADHD you can completely and utterly concentrate on something 1,000 per cent, but with absolutely everything else, you just cannot do it. Ask my kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I\u2019m completely and utterly obsessed with is creating images and making funny things. If I\u2019m creating images and funny things, I\u2019m not thinking about me, because my brain is incredibly creative, and it can be creative about everything in the world that you panic or scared about.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on: \u201cFor example, this is how crazy I am: recently, I was sitting on a plane, and I thought, \u2018What [if] I can have telekinesis and my intrusive thoughts tell the plane to crash itself\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that\u2019s the kind of level of insanity that I\u2019m dealing with, it\u2019s best to train my brain to do something better than worrying about having supernatural powers and crashing a plane.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams has opened up about dealing with anxiety<\/a> and depression<\/a> in the past, too. Last year, he explained that he had been living with what he called \u201cinside Tourette\u2019s\u201d, which causes \u201cintrusive thoughts\u201d (via Vanity Fair<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME in 2024<\/a> around the release of his biopic, Better Man<\/a>, Williams shared: \u201cOne of my strengths \u2013 being ADHD and neurodivergent and being on the spectrum \u2013 is that I don\u2019t pick up on the cues of stuff that you\u2019re not supposed to say\u2026 until the thing that I\u2019ve said reaches the person\u2019s ears and they go: [looks shocked]. I go: \u2018Did I do a thing?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer went on to suggest that he could have a form of autism, joking that it was \u201ca useful tool for a filmmaker that wants to exploit that\u201d.<\/p>\n

Williams released his latest studio album, \u2018Britpop\u2019<\/a>, in January. He subsequently topped\u00a0The Beatles\u2019 all-time record for the most UK Number One albums<\/a> with the project. The star previously admitted that the prospect of dethroning the Fab Four was something he wanted \u201cmore than anything in my career right now\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In other news, Williams has announced a pair of huge outdoor shows in the UK and Ireland for next summer<\/a>. The dates are scheduled to take place shortly after Glastonbury 2027, sparking rumours that he\u2019ll appear at Worthy Farm.<\/p>\n

Williams said in 2023 that he believes he\u2019d \u201cslaughter\u201d Glasto\u2019s coveted Legends Slot<\/a> if he was booked.<\/p>\n
