Williams have confirmed that Alex Albon will continue to race for the squad in 2027, extending his record-breaking stay with the team.<\/p>\n
Albon<\/a> first joined Williams<\/a> back in 2022 following a year on the sidelines as a reserve driver for Red Bull, and the Thai driver has since gone on to be a part of the Grove-based outfit\u2019s mission to return to the top, a journey that saw them climb up to P5 in last year\u2019s Teams\u2019 Championship.<\/p>\n While it has been a tougher season for the team so far in 2026, Albon has reaffirmed his commitment and will again drive for Williams into 2027.<\/p>\n \u201cSince joining Atlassian Williams F1 Team in 2022, the transformation this team has made is difficult to put into words,\u201d Albon commented on the news.<\/p>\n \u201cOne tough year doesn\u2019t tell the full picture, and it only gives me more motivation to keep building and pushing together with the factory and our fans to achieve great things.
