Evidently, Ricky Martin<\/a> is a man of many talents.<\/p>\n

During Sunday\u2019s MTV VMAs, the Latin singer had to think on his feet after experiencing what he called a \u201cwardrobe malfunction.\u201d The Puerto Rican-born artist was named the inaugural Latin Icon on Sunday.<\/p>\n

It appears as though there were no seamstresses around to help him shortly before having to go on stage, so he took matters into his own hands.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, the man who gave us smash hits like Livin\u2019 la Vida Loca thought quickly, utilizing a hidden skill and ensuring the public didn\u2019t see more of him than he\u2019d bargained for.<\/p>\n

On his Instagram account<\/a>, the Grammy Award-winning singer showed a photo of himself sewing up his trousers shortly before going on stage. Ricky was seen shirtless on the couch backstage, displaying only his abs and upper body. He looked down at his pants in the photo while stitching together his waistband as he described.<\/p>\n

His account shows a 12-slide carousel document of his routine beforehand. The Latin superstar<\/a> was presented with his special award by longtime friend and singer Jessica Simpson.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you so much for your love, I don\u2019t even know where to start,\u201d Ricky said in his speech. \u201cThis is very simple. This is for you all \u2026 I am addicted to your applause,\u201d he continued. \u201cThat\u2019s why I keep coming back. It\u2019s you, not only here in America, but all of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ricky dedicated his award to his four children. \u201cEverything I do, I do it with you in my mind and in my heart. And that\u2019s it! I love you,\u201d Ricky concluded.<\/p>\n

Ricky\u2019s album A Quien Quiera Escuchar was named Best Latin Pop Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n
