For almost 20 years, the Frenchman has been behind some of the most talked-about moments in Chanel\u2019s beauty division. Photo: Handout<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">How would you describe your role at Chanel?<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">I am an orchestra conductor and I have different musicians: some design packaging and some create books and some work on events and some work with celebrities and some do advertising, so I guide everyone to make sure everything is unique and surprising but also to bring a sense of unity.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">How do you come up with the visual aspects connected to something like a fragrance?<\/p>\n<p>I have a true belief that when you wear a fragrance you just don\u2019t spray the physical juice but much more. I\u2019m sure that when women wear <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/magazines\/style\/beauty\/beauty-news\/article\/3308778\/style-edit-chanel-ndeg5-celebrates-more-century-elegance-1921-perfume-through-1932s-bijoux-de?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chanel No 5<\/a>, whether they admit it or not, they spray Marilyn on their body.
