\n The multigenerational Cedar Rapids firm is joining through a key OSJ as recruiting competition heats up across the wealth space.\n <\/p>\n

Osaic is extending its footprint in Iowa as a Cedar Rapids-based advisory firm departs Ameriprise to affiliate with one of its OSJs.<\/p>\n

Osaic announced Thursday that it has\u00a0recruited IronGate Services, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based advisory firm managing roughly $367 million in client assets.\u00a0The team is joining Osaic from Ameriprise Financial Services through Carlson Advisor Networks, an office of supervisory jurisdiction within the Osaic network.<\/p>\n

With a primary focus on business owners, IronGate is led by financial advisor Chad Sarsfield, who is joined by his son Coy Sarsfield, Brennan Dorighi, and Jeff Netolicky.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chad Sarsfield’s relationship with Osaic appears to go further back than Thursday’s announcement. His BrokerCheck record shows he was registered as a broker and investment advisor with Signator Investors in 2018, which was acquired in 2018 by Advisor Group<\/a> \u2013 the name Osaic went by before its 2023 rebrand under Reverence Capital<\/a> \u2013 from John Hancock Financial Services.<\/p>\n

Advisor Group went on to roll Signator into Royal Alliance, which later rebranded into Osaic Wealth in 2023<\/a>. Chad Sarsfield’s record FINRA record shows he was registered with Royal Alliance from 2018 until 2022, when he hopped over to Ameriprise.<\/p>\n

Accordign to the Thursday announcement, IronGate chose to affiliate Osaic for the independence, flexibility and support available through the broker-dealer’s platform, including business coaching and consulting, technology, investment products and expanded operational resources.<\/p>\n

“Osaic gives us access to the technology, investment capabilities and resources we need to operate more efficiently while continuing to provide the first-class experience our clients expect.,” said Chad Sarsfield. “We’re excited about the opportunities ahead for our team and the families and business owners we serve.”<\/p>\n

Osaic executive vice president of advisor engagement Erinn Ford said the firm’s entrepreneurial approach fits what the broker-dealer aims to support. “Chad and the IronGate team have a clear vision for growing their business while staying focused on the clients and communities they serve,” Ford said.<\/p>\n

Osaic’s push to attract business-owner-focused practices like IronGate comes as the firm expands the technology it offers advisors serving that client base. Last month\u00a0Osaic deepened its partnership with succession-planning platform RISR<\/a>, giving its roughly 11,000 affiliated advisors broader access to tools for valuing, transitioning and protecting privately held companies.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs demand for sophisticated business owner planning continues to grow, it’s critical that our advisors have access to the tools and resources needed to serve clients with confidence,” Jerry Schreck, senior vice president of advisor education and training, said at the time.<\/p>\n
