The summer shutdown is over and Formula 1 returns this weekend for the Dutch Grand Prix, with the drivers and teams suitably refreshed from their time off. A Sprint weekend welcomes them back \u2013 but which teams have opted to bring upgrades? F1.com has rounded up all the details\u2026<\/p>\n
Mercedes<\/p>\n
Although the competition between the top four teams has continued to heat up, Mercedes<\/a> will only introduce one modified part \u2013 the front corner. They have detached the drum front lip from the duct inlet and adjusted the camber, which should improve flow to the rear of the car.<\/p>\n Ferrari<\/p>\n Ferrari<\/a> have made a number of changes all targeting improved performance in local load. The floor has been developed further, with tweaks made to the body, board and edge to deliver better robustness of the underlying flow mechanisms and greater flow energy directed to the rear diffuser.<\/p>\n On that note, the diffuser expansion and geometry has been optimised to increase aerodynamic load, while a minor adjustment was made to the lower beam wing.<\/p>\n McLaren<\/p>\n The other frontrunner leading the upgrades list is McLaren<\/a> as they plan to debut a new rear wing assembly and revised central bodywork, which should work in conjunction to extract additional aerodynamic performance.<\/p>\n They will also introduce a new rear brake duct to improve aerodynamic and Red Bull<\/p>\n There\u2019s just a small tweak for Red Bull<\/a> at Max Verstappen\u2019s home race \u2013 to address reliability and reduce strain on the gaitor at high steering angles, they have shrunk the length of the wishbone shroud cord.<\/p>\n Racing Bulls<\/p>\n With Yuki Tsunoda stepping in for Liam Lawson<\/a>, who will drive in place of the injured Isack Hadjar this weekend, Racing Bulls<\/a> have not brought any upgrades to Zandvoort.<\/p>\n Alpine<\/p>\n At the most recent event in Hungary, Alpine<\/a> lost P5 in the constructors\u2019 standings<\/a> to rival team Racing Bulls, so it\u2019s no surprise that they\u2019re introducing a significant number of updates this weekend.<\/p>\n Most of them are related to improved local load, including a new floor design, redesigned floor edges, a reprofiled diffuser, new elements on the rear drum face, an updated rear impact structure and redesigned flap geometry on the rear wing.<\/p>\n Further changes to the floor board and sidepod should improve the quality of the flow delivered to the rear of the car and maintain cooling capacity. The new package was rushed through, so only Pierre Gasly will benefit from it this weekend.<\/p>\n Haas<\/p>\n There are no upgrades listed for Haas<\/a> in Zandvoort.<\/p>\n Audi<\/p>\n Before the summer break, Audi<\/a> were on an impressive run of three rounds in the points, with Nico Hulkenberg scoring for the first time this season in Hungary. They\u2019ve decided not to bring any updates to the car this weekend.<\/p>\n Williams<\/p>\n Williams<\/a> may have been buoyed by the confirmation that Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz will remain at the team in 2027<\/a>, but they also haven\u2019t confirmed any upgrades. Instead, a significant package is planned for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.<\/p>\n Aston Martin<\/p>\n Following on from their effective changes in Hungary, Aston Martin<\/a> will try out further upgrades this weekend to hopefully complement the new power unit<\/a> Honda have designed.<\/p>\n All the car adjustments are again related to improving local load, with three parts of the front wing modified \u2013 the final element and inboard foot target further performance, and they additionally have the option of a new front wing flap that extends the range of balance.<\/p>\n Adjustments have also been made to the floor fence in the diffuser and lower edge of the diffuser winglet.
